Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Circuit in a high frequency coil or in a high frequency transformer with a pressed, magnetizable core.

   To reduce the dielectric losses in the insulation of the windings, the winding is often composed of a number of separate parts which are arranged next to one another on the core and connected in series. It is obvious, and in most cases easiest and cheapest, to connect the winding sections in series in the same order in which they are arranged on the core. However, it has been found that considerable dielectric losses can also occur in the core if it is made of pressed magnetizable material.

  In this case, the individual grains of magnetizable material are separated from one another by an insulating medium, which causes the losses mentioned. To reduce these losses, according to the invention, in a coil with at least three winding sections, these sections are connected so that the number of electrical lines of force penetrating the core is as low as possible. In order to achieve this, it must be prevented that there is a significant high-frequency potential difference between the outer sides of the two outer sections. Accordingly, it is advantageous to connect the two outer sections to one another.

   The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which a coil according to the invention is shown in section.

   The core of the illustrated coil consists of two disc-shaped halves 1 and 2 in which opposing annular grooves are provided. The three coil sections 3, 4 and 5, the z. B. are separated from each other by insulation material, lie in the space created in this way, so that they are completely surrounded by core material. According to the invention, they are connected in series in the order 3, 5, 4. The one with the section. 3 connected power supply wire can be connected or grounded to the core or to a housing surrounding the whole.

   The dielectric losses in the core are lower in this case than when using the usual circuit, since the distance between the coil section that has the highest alternating voltage during operation, i.e. H. the coil 4, and the core is larger. It has been found that in this way a significant reduction in core losses is obtained.
