Description
Both as reinforcement and for the purpose of shielding electrical A metal tape winding is known for conductors, in which the 1Vhetallband is approximately semicircular Has cross-section and with its flat surface in a closed turn on the core shell rests. This metallic envelope - i, st rather stiff, so that only relatively Flat bends are possible if not between the individual turns Gaps of such magnitude should arise that both the purpose of the reinforcement as well as that of the shielding is made more or less illusory. On the On the inside of a bending point, there is such a congestion of the individual winding turns, that the underlying nuclear envelope is exposed to more or less severe damage is. -Es are also known metal tape windings for electrical conductors, wherein on a tape wound in helical lines around the nuclear envelope with a gap Tape is wound so that it covers the gap of the former tape and thereby at its edges over the edges of the lower band to such an extent that, ß there is no gap when the electrical conductor is bent. It is about but to. Winding strips of elongated, flat cross-section or such profiling, that they intervene in the winding gap of the other band with no play As a result, such wraps tend to have a stiffening effect on the electrical conductor and 'complicate its flexibility, even the risk of damage to the underlying carry an insulating core sheath, as it will expand if the conductor is forcibly bent press into the nuclear envelope.
In other known metal tape windings, which consist of only one There are winding tape S-shaped cross-section, the einarider facing Edges of two adjacent growth ducts with concave bulges met: all-tube-like interlock, exists when bending the cable because of the lack of axial and radial evasive possibility of the winding turns the risk of crushing the Core envelope on the compressed inside and the pulled outside = side of the bend, so that this type of winding, since it has a stiffening effect, is also the light one and makes it impossible to carry out major bends in the cable without causing damage.
With the invention these disadvantages are eliminated. According to the invention the ribbons wound with a gap are shaped in cross-section so that they are with touch convex surfaces. As a result, the nuclear envelope or the electrical conductors not only when they are stretched, but also when they are bent both protected against mechanical damage and properly shielded. The conductor can be bent very easily and to a large extent without being on the inside congestion at the bending point and, as a result, any damage to the nuclear envelope enter.
According to a particularly useful embodiment of the invention the metallic winding strips are approximately lenticular or flat-elliptical Cross-section. This increases the mobility of the individual ligaments against each other Bending and thus the flexibility of the whole wrapping is increased. on the other hand the whole wrapping becomes flatter because the outer band with its tapered edge parts rests on the correspondingly tapered edge parts! of the lower band, which further still has the consequence that the upper band by the lower band against an impermissible Slipping is guided.
In the drawing, the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment, namely Fig. i shows a piece of electrical equipment partially provided with metal wrapping Conductor in view or in section and Fig: a the cross section through a winding tape on an enlarged scale.
The core sheath 2 surrounding the conductor core i is helical with a Metal band wound on gap 3 4. of lenticular or flat elliptical Wrapped cross-section. A 'second metal band with the same cross-section 5 covers both the gap 3 and the corresponding ones with its edge parts lZandteile of the lower metal band q., to such an extent that when bending -the electrical conductor, the gap 3 cannot be exposed.
Of course, the wrapping can also consist of more than two strips exist.
The material used for the winding strips is not just metal, but also a flexible non-metallic material, e.g. B. synthetic resin, pressboard or the like., with a metallic coating, which the latter can be omitted if shielding is not used can, in question.
