Description

Food carriers for the cooking compartment of stoves or similar.

The innovation concerns a food carrier according to the generic term of claim 1.

It is common practice to equip cookers with a hanging rack that can be inserted into the cooking chamber wall and another insert rack that can be inserted into the baking tray as a baking or cooking food carrier.

The innovation is based on the task of designing such a grid-like food carrier in the simplest possible way so that it is equally suitable both as a hanging or sliding rack for the cooking chamber and as an insert rack for the baking tray.

The solution to this problem according to the innovation can be found in the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous further embodiments of the subject matter of the innovation are specified in the dependent claims.

The measures in accordance with the innovation create a grid-like food carrier that conveniently combines two functions. This has the advantage that instead of the two differently designed food carriers previously used, only one grid-like food carrier can be used.

An example of the innovation is shown in the drawing and is described in more detail below.

The oven muffle (1) is the name given to the oven cavity for a stove which encloses a cooking chamber (2) (baking and roasting chamber). The cooking chamber (2) can be closed in the usual way by a door (not shown). The cooking chamber (2) has several lateral double guides (3) for holding insert parts, such as a baking tray (4) or a grid-like food support (5) on different levels. The baking tray (4) consists of a trough-like, recessed, rectangular support surface (4) and a protruding holding or guide edge (7). The grid-like food support (5) is made of a rectangular wire frame (5 ¹ ) and a plurality of struts (8) connected to it for storing the food.

In the two long sides (9, 9 ¹ ) of the wire frame (5 ¹ ), a Z-shaped embossing (10, 10') is provided in the left and right areas. The embossings (10, 10') are directed outwards and form corresponding storage recesses (11, 11') with the front and rear guide edges (7) of the baking tray (4). The Z-shaped embossings (10, 10 ¹ ) each merge at a right angle into the sections (13, 13') of the long sides (9, 9') connecting the two narrow sides (12, 12') of the wire frame (5 ¹ ). This results in a certain height difference (14) between the two narrow sides (12, 12') of the wire frame and the guide edge (7) of the baking tray (4) after the wire frame (5 ¹ ) has been placed on the guide edge (7) of the baking tray (4). This ensures that when the baking tray (4) with the food support (5) attached is pushed into the side double guides (3) of the cooking chamber (2), the side narrow sides (12, 12') of the wire frame (5 ¹ ) are above the cooking chamber double guides (3).
