Zweckmäßig verleibt man den Formlingen auch Mittel sein, die die Festigkeit erhöhen, z. B. Traß, oder die Porosität steigern, z. B. Bims, Schlacken. Es ist auch vorteilhaft, den Formlingen bei der Herstellung an sich bekannte Mittel zuzusetzen; welche die Bildung von Poren bewirken, z. B.
