Dieses Verfahren erlaubt die Maschinenanlage außerordentlich leistungsfähig zu gestalten. In kurzer Zeit können mit derselben relativ große Mengen Früchte gereinigt und sortiert werden. Bis jetzt nahm das Ausfindigmachen und Entfernen der schadhaften Früchte viel Zeit in Anspruch. Die Auslesemaschine der vorliegenden Maschinenanlage hingegen breitet die Früchte geordnet über eine große Fläche aus und bewegt sie vorwärts, wobei sich jede einzelne Frucht dreht. Aus einer großen Menge Früchte werden gleichzeitig schadhafte Stellen an denselben leicht sichtbar und erkennbar, so daß man diese Früchte entfernen kann. In den Fig. i und 2 ist A ein Elevator, d. h. eine Hebevorrichtung, die das bei 2 aufgegebene Obst nach oben durch den Kanal 6 in die Reinigungs- und Poliermaschine B befördert. Das Transportband, das z. B. auch aus Querleisten bestehen kann, ist im untern Teil bei 3 steiler als im Oberteil 3'. D ist die Sortiermaschine, in welcher das Obst nach der Größe sortiert und in den Behälter auf den Konsolen 27 gesammelt wird (Behälter nicht gezeichnet). Die Sortiermaschine D (Fig.7, 8 und 9) besitzt ein Gestell 33, in welchem die beiden Walzen 35 mit den schraubenlinienförmig angeordneten, elastisch nachgiebigen Transportwülsten 36 mittels Wellen 34 drehbar gelagert sind. In den Lagern 38 und 38' sind die Spindeln 39 und 39', die an den Enden Links- bzw. Rechtsgewinde 41 bzw. 41' besitzen und mit den Handrädern 4o bzw. 4ö versehen sind, drehbar gelagert. Längs dieser Spindeln und über denselben befindet sich je ein Blech 44 bzw. 44' mit U-förmigem Querschnitt. 46 und 46' sind zwischen den beiden Walzen 35 angeordnete schräg st`hende Bretter. Jedes der Bretter46 ist auf zwei Tr:igerii 45 befestigt, die mittels Gewinde auf den Spindeln 39 verschiebbar sind.
