Description
Insulating liquid for electrical high-voltage devices for impregnation electrical high-voltage devices and devices, such as in particular oil cables or Transformers, used mineral oils of saturated character have the Disadvantage of emitting gases under the influence of strong electric fields, see above that within the field gas inclusions arise in which ionization phenomena may occur. We have succeeded in: Finding mineral oils that have so many proportions contain aromatic hydrocarbons or unsaturated hydrocarbons, that they have the tendency to take in gas under such conditions, that is the reason The formation of cavities within the dielectric is not to be feared. the Use of such 'natural oils, which consist of an inextricable mixture of the most varied Hydrocarbons exist, but has the disadvantage that it is not possible to obtain uniform oils over a longer period of time. On the other hand, it is already The suggestion has also been made to use a pure paraffinic oil that can is known to be characterized by good aging and good dielectric properties, and him a small amount, for example about 211/9, of a hydrocarbon, which contains one or more double bonds or aromatic groups to add, which has the property of absorbing gas under the influence of strong electric fields. Primarily naphthalene was thought of here. Naphthalene and similar substances however, have the disadvantage that they themselves have a high vapor tension; for vacuum treatment, z. B. in the Vakuumträikung of cables, a partial suction of the Additives are caused.
According to the invention, therefore, as an additive to a saturated Oil used as an insulating fluid for high-voltage electrical equipment and facilities is to serve, such hydrocarbons containing one or more double bonds whose vapor tension is in the order of magnitude of the vapor tension of the oil. A liquid hydrocarbon of this type is expediently selected. Suitable is for example a polybutadiene, which is produced by so-called block polymerization from pure Butadiene gas was obtained by catalysis with metallic sodium, the polymerization is driven only to a low degree. Another example is an oil-like one called liquid copolymer of styrene and isobutylene. Convenient for the purpose The invention is also a styrene polymer with a low degree of polymerization, e.g. B. di- or tristyrene. This material offers not only its good dielectric properties the advantage that you can control the polymerization up to one the desired degree in hand, the most favorable viscosity ratios on the one hand and steam tension on the other hand.
The additives must, if they are not inherently very pure, be cleaned by washing them thoroughly. The aforementioned polybutadiene must z. B. be freed from all traces of residual catalyst. For the For the purposes of the invention, some compounds can also be used that are not actually Senses are unsaturated, but which can be hydrogenated in some way, such as z. B. chlorinated or fluorinated diphenyl. In the case of halogen derivatives, this is the case ensure that only those compounds are chosen in which the halogens as in the example given, are in a symmetrical position in the molecule.
