Transformatoren- und Schalteröle. Es wurde gefunden, daß sich flüssige Triarylphosphate, z. B. Gemische der isomeren Trikresylphosphate oder die gemischten Ester, wie sie nach den Patentschriften 348628 und 348629 erhalten werden können, besonders vorteilhaft- als Transformatoren- und Schalteröle in der Elektrotechnik verwenden lassen. Die Vorteile ihrer Verwendung gegenüber den bisher üblichen Mineralölen bestehen außer der großen Isolierfähigkeit vor allem in ihrer chemischen Indifferenz und Reinheit, dem Mangel jeglichen Teer- und Schwefelgehalts, in dem hohen Flamm- und Brennpunkt, dem niedrigen Gefrierpunkt, der Unvermischbarkeit mit Mineralölen und Wasser und in dem hohen spezifischen Gewicht, das größer ist als das des Wassers. Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß das sich bildende Kondenswasser oder beim Überfluten von Transformatoren in Schächten usw. eindringendes Wasser nicht in den Wicklungsraum. des Transformators eindringen kann, was bekanntlich häufig die Zerstörung der Wicklung hewirkt.Transformer and switch oils.
