Bei dem neuen Verfahren entstehen die gewünschten Doppelsalze in praktisch quantitativer Ausbeute. Bei der Verwendung von Carbonaten als Umsetzungsteilnehmern wird schon bei Zimmertemperatur die Kohlensäure durch das sauer reagierende Bichromat ausgetrieben,. und das reaktionsfähige naszierende Oxyd tritt sofort in das Bich'romatmolekül unter Bildung des Doppelsalzes ein. Durch röntgenspektralanalytische Verfolgung des Bildungsprozesses läBt sich die Umsetzung der Ausgangsprodukte zum Doppelsalz verfolgen.
