For soldered connections of pipe sections or pipe-like parts,
for example, cylindrical cover frames, with the walls of a cylindrical
Mantels et al. m., which are reinforced inside by pipe sleeves, is often the
The requirement is that the connection of these parts on the outer circumference of the pipe is tight
and is carried out pore-free, to a certain extent fully walled and that anyway from the
Solder material does not allow excess metal to penetrate to the outside at the connection point.
The pipe connection according to the invention shown in the figure
is, now consists in the fact that the two coming to the connection pipe or cylinder ends
i and 2, which are to be connected to one another at their forehead or blunt end
and which are reinforced inside the pipe by a sleeve 3, are soldered in the way,
that the pipe axis is arranged vertically. The pipe socket itself is designed in such a way that
that they are on top of one of theirs when soldered in a vertical position
Has a funnel-shaped catchment or indentation or beading 8 at the end.
This pipe socket 3 is inserted into the pipe parts i and 2 with a good fit. At vertical
standing pipe axis is in the between the inner wall of the pipe i and the outer wall
the pipe socket at the pulling-in 8 resulting space the item to be soldered in powder or ring form,
for example, introduced as a wire ring which is designed in the manner of a snap ring.
In order to achieve that the soldering compound also at the end of the tubes 6, the contact surfaces
If the two pipes are fully soldered together, the one to be carried out with a vertical pipe axis
Soldering carried out in a manner according to the invention under vertical pressure from above. Of the
Pressure is measured so that the butt butted surfaces that
are carefully fitted together, pressed together in such a way that
The capillary forces can have an effect in the space between the abutment surfaces at 6.
Now the solder wire introduced into the funnel-shaped space 8
.4 and the entire solder joint is heated, it is achieved that the solder metal is correct
Dosage and appropriate pretreatment with flux spread over the entire
Contact surface of the pipe socket j between the socket outer wall and the inner wall
of the two tubes i and 2 distributed and at the same time under the capillary action on
Butt joint of the pipes at 6 connects or soldered the two end faces of the pipes.
By the aforementioned correct dimensioning of the solder and by the measure,
that no flux is applied to the outside of the pipe or flux that enters the outside
has penetrated, is carefully removed, that can be achieved at the joint
at 7 no solder penetrates to the outside, so that with such connections that
later surface-treated, polished, chrome-plated or otherwise treated,
laborious grinding and polishing of the joint is not necessary. on the other hand
but it is also achieved that the joint at 7 is firmly and pore-free on all sides
will, so that any chemicals, pickling or bath liquid that is used in chrome plating
and are used in similar galvanic processes, not in the joint between
penetrate the pipe ends and later cause corrosion.
With the mentioned correct dimensioning of the soldering material it can still be achieved
that the amount of solder is just sufficient to pass through the capillary action up to the
lower edge of the pipe socket G to be sucked through. The molten solder
is easily capable of interrupting when the soldering according to the invention is used
to bridge the pipe joint at 6 and due to the two perpendicular to each other
running capillary force effects both the lower pipe section 2 with the sleeve
as well as the end face of the two butted pipe sections at 7
to solder.
