Description
Process for the production of permanent gold-cysteine complex compounds The invention enters into the manufacture of durable gold-cysteine koinl) lexverl) indungen.
In the production of gold-cysteine compounds it was found that unstable yellow-red when aqueous cysteine and gold salt solutions are poured together Connections occur that change rapidly with lightening of color and into one light yellow precipitate, which in dilute alkalis, such as caustic soda, is easily soluble.
It has now been found that durable gold-cysteine Komple.xverbindungen can be produced if you have cysteine in aqueous solution with gold salts in such Amount added that a slight excess of gold or cysteine is present. Appropriate the precipitate is dissolved in dilute alkalis, preferably in sodium hydroxide solution. These solutions are surprisingly stable when the gold is low LThe excess of the cysteine levels is used. The solutions also remain at a higher temperature, up to about too °, clear. However, the gold is in too great a quantity present, so that a substantial excess over the amounts of cysteine used of gold is present, the solutions start slowly with ordinary, quickly with high temperature to cloudy.
However, it is also possible to produce durable gold-cysteine complex compounds to be produced with a low gold content if the gold concentration is chosen so that that cysteine is present in very slight excess. But such solutions remain not clear when the concentration is too low because that didn't work Cysteine from the oxygen in the air as a result of the catalytic effect of Gold oxidizes very quickly to cystine, so that because of the low solubility of the Cystine the solution becomes more or less cloudy. The gold concentration must therefore be chosen so that only a small amount of free cysteine remains. The size of the free amounts of cysteine depends on the degree of dilution of the solution. With increasing dilution, the concentration of free cysteine can be selected higher will. However, it must be measured in such a way that the cystine which forms is still in solution remain.
In the solutions shown in this way, the gold is attached to two molecules of cysteine bound because of the complete turnover of the gold salt at least 2 molecules of cysteine Requires i atom gold. Because tolerance and pharmacological effects of gold are essentially determined by its bond to the sulfur atom, corresponds to The double bond of gold to sulfur is also a very special therapeutic one Effect. On the basis of numerous studies, the effect of these gold solutions, in polyarthritis, for example, much earlier than in the case of simple solutions gold compounds bound to sulfur. The effect is also with fractions the previously required amount of gold can be achieved, so that these new gold-cysteine solutions combine a high therapeutic effect with significant savings in gold.
Example Add a 100% gold trichloride solution to Room temperature about 100 cc of a 10% cysteine hydrochloride solution. After complete conversion of the initially brown-yellow precipitate into the white-yellow Gold-cysteine = complex salt are 95 to 100 ccm of a 10% sodium hydroxide solution added and heated until completely dissolved (So to 100 °). The solution remains clear in the absence of air.
