KAISERLICHES A PATENTAMT,IMPERIAL A PATENT OFFICE,
Mediated in the previously customary process for the production of patterned cement panels Stencils always had the disadvantage that the different masses of color possessed different depths and that sharp outlines could not be achieved. The first Evil condition, which naturally leads to a waste of the color masses, because after sanding off the colored layers from the smallest depth, the picture is destroyed without that the remaining layers of paint have already been completely worn off is due to the fact that one the paint mass cannot be wiped off after filling. The second evil is that Attribution to the design of the previous stencils. Namely, they consist of a framework, which corresponds to the outlines of the ornament to be produced. Because now such a template on the Prefsplatte due to the very narrow boundary edges does not form a significant seal, the paint easily enters from an area neighboring area over what happens all the more as the stencil only very lightly and bends easily. Remain on earth after removing the template Joints between the individual areas of color, which closed with the subsequent pressing, but not sharp Deliver contours.
These inconveniences are now remedied by the present procedure.
In Fig. 2 an ornament is illustrated, which by means of that shown in Fig. 1 in section Stencil / to be made.
The template / is different from the hitherto by the fact that it does not consist of a framework corresponding to the outlines, but shows a form which corresponds to a certain color part of the ornament, e.g. B. the yellow, corresponds to, d. H. so, it is the whole part which is supposed to turn yellow in the ornament, modeled from metal. In this way, the stencil receives a strong formation, which does not allow bending and when placed on the Prefsplatte c presents wide sealing surfaces, the weight of the plate. the seal still increased.
Man verfährt wie folgt:Proceed as follows:
The template / is placed on the Prefsplatte c mounted on the bottom of the price box α . The template / is so high that, after it has been placed on the plate c , its upper edge cuts off at the level of the upper edge of the box. The template is provided with an edge g , which rests on the upper edge of the Prefskastens.
.You fill in the known way the different color masses in the appropriate * Recesses of the stencil after you have not filled in with the color in question Has covered recesses. If you have the correct color masses in this way, green, blue, black, sepia, pink and so on, filled in, so you lift out the stencil, so that in the otherwise complete composite ornament there is still that of color yellow corresponding wells remain. These indentations will then be colored yellow Filled with filling compound, whereby one, although this is not absolutely necessary, the rest Part of the ornament covered. .
