Description

Wire ropes, which consist of several layers of strands, are in rope specialist circles well known. The winding direction of the different wire strand layers in the rope is usually arranged alternately, so that, for example, six strands around a core (wire or hemp egg right-hand, over it a layer of strands left-hand and above that a third layer of strands are twisted right-hand. By the arrangement the alternating winding directions of the different strand layers must of course be different not only the strands, but also the wires of the strands at the points of contact Overlap adjacent strand layers so that pressure or cutting points are created that destroy the rope prematurely and seriously endanger rope safety. Due to this fact, the otherwise great technical advantages of the wire ropes from several layers of strand are awarded inuss ° n, especially coarse work performance, completely canceled. Ropes with several layers of strands have also been made have been, daren strand layers all have coiled turns with each other, whereby the strands of the outer layers lie in gaps between the strands of the inner layers, so the strands themselves do not cross. But even here they overlap nor the wires at the contact points of adjacent strand layers, if the wires in the strands in the individual layers, as is known, in the same direction are beaten.

Zach's present invention now eliminates any wire clipping avoided. For this "purpose the strands of all layers have the same pitch and twisted in the same direction of rotation. with one in the successive layers Layer of strands in regular lay stranding with one layer of strands in lang lay stranding alternates and all wires in the individual strands are beaten with the same ganglion will. In the drawing, a stranded spiral rope made of three is an exemplary embodiment Strand layers shown. FIG. 1 shows a stranded spiral in cross section, FIG. 2 the same in plan.

The rope core a (Fig. I and 2) begins, for example, in the structure a strand of seven round wires (can be replaced by a hemp strand). which are wound with nine wires h to the right. Be over this rope core nine strands of seven wires each c also twisted right-handed in Lang lay, d.li. the wires in the strands and the strands in the rope are right-handed in the same direction Rotation. Around this strand layer c, nine strands each consisting of seven wires d are laid in ordinary lay right-handed: hurried. The nine wires 1) of the rope core strand, as well as the nine seven-wire strands c and the nine seven-wire strands d have one another the same pitch of the wires in the strands and strands in the rope. Through this Arrangement is made possible, the strands and wires of adjacent wire and Layers of wire inevitably fit into the natural gaps in the neighboring wire and wire layers to bed, as the drawing (Fig. i and 2) clearly shows. The wires of the Strands of adjacent layers lay down. parallel to or on top of each other (_i and c, Fig. A). This removes all pressure and locking points that endanger the safety of the rope completely switched off between the wire and strand layers. In the preparation of the stranded spiral ropes according to the present invention contain the wires or strands an additional torsional tension by mechanical devices known per se, which generate a torsional tension acting on the finished spiral strand rope. The number of wires in the strands and the number of strands and layers of strands can be n.u@h can be changed as required.
