Process for the preparation of chlorinated paraffins The invention relates to
the production of chlorinated paraffins and its main purpose is the production of lubricants
from Hartpariaffin ,. This is reflected in the synthesis of gasoline from carbon monoxide and hydrogen
the Fischer process both at normal pressure and at elevated pressure as a by-product
is won. The lubricants produced according to the invention are fully synthetic
Origin and are characterized by an unusually high resistance to pressure.
Beispielsweise
dienten hierzu aromatische, insbesondere mehrkernige aromatische Chlorderivate.

It has already been suggested by common lubricating oils

that when chlorinating synthetic hard paraffin and also other paraffins

on the other hand, low-viscosity oils, the viscosity of which increases sharply with increasing chlorine content.

The invention further fulfills an extremely urgent need
on the one hand, because the synthetic hard paraffin is not yet able to be used on an industrial scale
was known, but on the other hand continuously significant: quantities of this product be; i
the large-scale implementation of gasoline synthesis. The difficulty,
Finding a suitable use for the synthetic hard paraffin is particularly important
in its molecular structure and the resulting different physical
and chemical properties. It was therefore not possible to use the previous experience
and areas of application of the paraffin processing industry to the recovery of
synthetic hard paraffin.

For example, such a chlorine paraffin with a chlorine content of 15% has a dropping point of 51 °.
