Description

B. eine t a o!oige Bohrölemulsion in ihrer Schmieru-irkung völlig ersetzt. Lubricants and coolants for the machining of iron and steel The anti-rust effects of nitrites or substances containing nitrite on iron are known. This property of nitrites has already been mentioned made use of metalworking. So are from the German patent specification 68o 884 drilling oil, drawing oil and immersion bath emulsions known, which with reduced Oil content small amounts - up to 0.5% - contain nitrite. This proposal is one-sided directed towards rust prevention and takes on lubrication to reduce friction work little consideration, as the oil content is intentionally reduced to about 1/10 of the usual level should be depressed. In addition, the nitrite treatment of the iron surface fails but then, if there are already rust formation, so that in this case by a Prior rust removal must be ensured for a bare surface. There are now also acknowledges the rust-releasing properties of borax. According to the invention are now intended as a lubricant and coolant in the machining of iron and steel, aqueous solutions of nitrites or substances containing nitrite, in particular of sodium nitrite, in which at the same time also borax in the required Amount is dissolved to remove the rust that has formed on the iron surface, so that the nitrite is now applied to the clean surface to prevent renewed rust formation can act unhindered. When machining iron, it is next to it achieved a very substantial reduction in friction, so that the application of a vain oil emulsion becomes superfluous. The addition of borax z. B. a t a o! Oige drilling oil emulsion completely replaced in their lubricating effect. This advantage occurs particularly in grinding work, because here a very fine grinding because of the smearing Effect in the pores of the grinding wheel without impairing the cutting performance the grinding surface is achieved, while the oil emulsion by clogging the pores considerably reduces the cutting performance. The fiction, coolants and lubricants no @@ an addition of water glass, to ensure that the nitrite and borax have a completely uniform effect on the material to be processed To reach surface. Even if for degreasing the workpieces to be treated is taken care of, it can be inserted into the machine or into the Immersion bath by touching with your hands again part of the surface with a covered with a thin layer of fat and thus the effects of borax and nitrite be withdrawn. Due to the fat-dissolving property of the water glass, then also these places cleaned and for the proper attack of the other components the solution prepared. A convenient mix to run at the same time degreasing, rust removal, lubrication and rust protection for example from t up to 4kg technical borax, 2 to 5k, g water glass and o, 2 his I kg of sodium nitrite, which when used in Iool. Water is dissolved.
