Hochmolekulare Kunststoffe sind bekanntlich zufolge ihrer im allgemeinen guten dielektrischen Eigenschaften als Isolierstolf für elektrische Zwecke ,äußerst geeignet. Sie werden hierfür z. B. in Form von Bändern oder Fäden verwendet, die auf die zu isolierenden Gegenstände gewickelt werden, lassen sich aber zum Teil auch im Spritzverfahren zu nahtlosen Hüllen verarbeiten.
