sehr nahe beieinanderliegen, in besonders vorteilhafter Weise ausgenützt, indem
Rotary hearth furnace with longitudinal ventilation The invention relates to a
Rotary hearth furnace with longitudinal ventilation for the heat treatment of metals, in which the through
a fan circulated air in a separate part from the furnace chamber, namely in one
electrically heated air heating duct, is heated. In a known rotary hearth furnace
the air heating duct runs along the: entire annulus of the furnace, and the
# _fan is provided near the loading opening. l;. such a 'execution
a rotary hearth furnace leads to very long, approximately double the length of the annulus
Airways, which require air to be deflected twice by 180 °; and also
the pressure differences compared to the outside atmosphere are especially close
the loading opening ver = relatively large, especially since this arrangement because of the
long air path requires a relatively strong fan. All of these drawbacks
are eliminated in the invention that the electrically heated air heating duct
is arranged only along the preheating space of the furnace and that at its counter
the loading stele directed towards the end over there between the adjacent
Loading and unloading opening located, known per se dividing wall away
a connection channel is provided from the air heating channel to the glow space, while
the fan at the other end of the 4ufterhitzungskanals about in the middle of the good
traversed furnace annulus is arranged. In this way, in the invention
the fact that in a rotary hearth furnace, the loading and unloading openings
are very close together, exploited in a particularly advantageous manner by
via the, provided according to the invention between the loading and unloading opening,
very short connecting channel
especially from the glow room to the heating channel
Achieve short and only small deflections exhibiting air or gas flow paths
let, with the result that a particularly favorable temperature equalization
is achieved. Because on the one hand the gas is preheated exactly to the desired temperature
and on the other hand in the treatment room due to its short flow path
can not demand, an even heat dissipation is guaranteed. Also can
the fan can be kept particularly small. When using protective gas you can
Impurities of the same as them. with large flow paths in the treatment room
occur to be avoided, in addition, the escape of protective gas from the
Reduce furnace openings.
Fig. 2.
Temperatur konstant gehalten jverden soll.
The invention will be explained in more detail using Hanoi in the drawing.
In Figs. I to d. is denoted by i i the masonry of a rotary hearth furnace through
which the material on the rotary hearth 12 (in the direction of the arrow according to FIG. 2) is moved through,
namely, FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through the rotary hearth furnace and FIG
a top view. Fig. 3 shows a section A-B and Fig..4 shows a section C-D
Fig. 2. The loading opening is denoted by 13 and the removal opening is denoted by 14.
A partition 29 known per se is located between the loading and unloading openings
intended. The heating zone is denoted by 16 and the circulating air zone in the annular space is denoted by 17.
18 is a fan, e.g. B. a centrifugal fan, which by an outside of the furnace
arranged. Motor i9 is driven. f_Jabove the heating zone created by the heating resistors
2o is heated, heating channels 21 are provided, into which the circulating air (protective gas)
is pressed by the fan 18 in the sense of the arrows shown in FIG. 3.
From Fig.-I it can be seen that the heated air shortly before the removal opening 14 through
a connecting channel 22 merges into the glow space 17. The advantage of this arrangement
is on the one hand that the convection heating is only used where it is
exact maintenance of the temperature is important, in the final stage of heating, where the
Temperature should be kept constant. On the other hand, the circulated air volume
and thus the fan can be kept small, and besides, the air passage becomes special
short, because it is only about the length of a middle kiln circumference and is worth mentioning
Diversions are avoided. It is useful to set the temperature in the annealing zone only
to be kept constant by circulating air. Due to the arrangement of the fan diametrically to the removal and
The loading opening is also prevented from getting fresh air when the oven doors are opened
is sucked in, so that the fan may be used during loading and unloading
can continue running without special precautions.
