beiden Reihen
ohne verwickelte Verteilungsmittel möglich ist.Surface condenser cooled with a forced flow of air. The main patent relates to a condenser cooled with a forced flow of air. Surface condenser for large power steam engines with suppression of steam under high vacuum, the main features of which are that the air condenser is formed from rows of finned tube heat exchange elements of parallel finned tubes with narrow cross-section, and that these graters are associated with large diameter screw fans which are dimensioned in this way that they pass large amounts of air at low pressure through the pipe system. _ In the exemplary embodiment of the main patent, the rows of elements, including the screw fans, are arranged above a large, laterally open suction chamber. Furthermore, two rows of the finned tube elements are arranged inclined to one another in such a way that they enclose an angle that opens downwards, the steam distribution line lies over the tip, and the screw fans are arranged on its base. In the practical implementation of this embodiment of the main patent it has been found that the suction chamber must be given a considerable height. This height is such in the treated in the main Patent exemplary embodiment of a 1 6 ooo kW turbine. B. 6 m specified. The present invention has set itself the task of the invention of the main patent while retaining its advantages in such a way that such a large suction chamber can be omitted, whereby a considerable saving in height and costs is achieved. This object is achieved in that the two rows of elements are arranged in a known manner at an upwardly open angle and a row of damping distributors is provided for each row above the end chambers 1: e, -end. In contrast to the situation in the exemplary embodiment of the main patent, the invention assigns a steam distribution line located directly above the end chambers to each row of elements, whereby a simpler steam distribution on both rows is possible without complicated distribution means.
In the case of an air condenser for locomotives, @es are known to have the two
Arrange rows of elements so that they form an angle that is open at the top. at
However, this known design distributes the steam to each row of elements
not through a steam distribution line above the end chamber, but rather
by a larger number parallel to each other in the triangular cavity itself
lying and therefore partially blocking limbs.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is based on an exemplary embodiment
shown. , Fig. I is an elevation, Fig. 2 is a plan view, _, Fig. 3 is a cross-section.
Elementengruppe angeordneten Kammer a untergebracht sind. Mit io sind die Leitungen
zur Abführung des Kondensats und mit i i die Luftleitungen bezeichnet. The two rows of elements 4 consisting of finned tubes close
an upwardly opening angle; the upper end chambers 3b of the elements
are connected to steam distribution chambers g, which are from the main steam line
3 branched off. Between the steam distribution ducts 3a "i.e. at the top
of the triangular cavity, the screw fans 9 are arranged, which their
Drive from electric motors 15 obtained in a special, in the middle of the
Element group arranged chamber a are housed. With io are the lines
for discharging the condensate and with i i denotes the air lines.
bekannten elliptischen Rippenrohren hergestellt. As Figure 3 illustrates, in the embodiment of the
The large, laterally open air chamber required for the main patent no longer applies, since the

So the screw fan only, against low pressure, z. B. up to 25 mm WS, work.
The tilting tubes of the elements are useful as in the main patent per se
known elliptical finned tubes.
