So steigt z.
Portable field cable with non-metallic sheath When operating portable field cables with non-metallic sheath and without armouring, it has been shown that the capacity and discharge of such cables depends heavily on the current weather condition. So z. B. the capacity of the lines by about 1 5% if the cables get wet by rain, while the discharge by about 30111, decreases. After the rain has stopped, the capacity and discharge quickly return to their original values. A stable operation at longer distances is therefore impossible at derarti- g ge n cables.
nehmen. Dies soll an einem Beispiel erläutert werden. Abb. i zeigt einen Sternvierer
mit Gummimantel. Die Leiter a, b, c, d sind mit Gummi
i umpreßt und zum Sternvierer verseilt. Die Zwickel sind mit iGumrni 2 ausgefüllt.
Ü-ber diese Seele ist ein Gummimantel 3 gepreßt.In-depth investigations have shown that the instability of such cables is due to the fact that the electrical lines of force between the individual conductors of the cable take a different course when the jacket surface is dry and when the jacket surface is wet. This will be explained using an example. Fig. I shows a star quad with a rubber jacket. The conductors a, b, c, d are pressed with rubber i and stranded to form a star quad. The gussets are filled with iGumrni 2. A rubber jacket 3 is pressed over this core.
The operating capacitance of the line a, b is, as Fig. I shows, formed by the direct capacitance C "b between the conductors a and b and by the partial capacitances x, to X4 between the conductors a, b and c, d .
steigt also an.
Mest' Z5
sungen gezeigt haben. If the mantle surface wet, then the jacket covering (Fig. 2) with a conductive layer 4. As a result, s sets I to the existing capacity is still a further parallel which, by the series connection of two capacitors C and C .. . of the two wires is formed against the conductive surface of the jacket. The operating capacity of the line a, b thus increases. On the other hand, 'is the derivation of the operating line a, b is less by the conductive sheath surface, such as corresponding Mest' have shown Z5 solutions.
metallisch leitende Schicht 5 (Abb. 3) anzubringen. Trotz Vorhandenseins
It has already been proposed to apply a metallically conductive layer 5 (Fig. 3) over the cable core. Despite the presence of this metallic screen over the cable core, moisture can easily penetrate into the interior of the cable. This increases the capacity and dissipation, and the transmission properties deteriorate.
This disadvantage of the portable field cables with non-metallic outer sheath and without armouring can be prevented by attaching a conductive layer over the insulation of each individual wire, whereby the individual layers are conductively connected to one another, as shown in Fig 4 is shown. The conductive layers 6 can consist of metal foil, of metallized paper or of a fabric of conductive wires. This measure ensures that the transmission properties of the cable are no longer dependent on the properties of the material in the Z,% #., Ickeln. The capacitance of the lines is indeed somewhat larger by the measures proposed according to the invention, but this will be gladly accepted if this results in properties that are independent of the weather.
Individually shielded wires are known per se in telecommunications cable technology. You can also use a screen like the one shown in Fig. 5 . The wires are not completely surrounded by the screen 7 .
