Device for equalizing the temperature of the lubricant and coolant
on liquid-cooled internal combustion engines The invention relates to a heat exchange device
for liquid-cooled internal combustion engines, in particular for prime movers
of motor vehicles, to adjust the temperature of the lubricating oil to the for
Coolant used to cool the internal combustion engine.

the storage locations are available in sufficient quantities.
When the machine is at operating temperature and with normal load on the machine
The temperature equalization between lubricating oil and coolant also turns out to be
as advantageous, since no temperature stresses can occur in the motor housing.
However, temperature equalization has particular advantages in the case of heavy use
of the internal combustion engine, for example, when driving speeds are canceled
the motorway or on long slopes in the mountains. This is where the engine coolant comes in
Cooling effect exerted particularly effective in appearance, since the temperature of the lubricant
can only rise insignificantly above the cooling water temperature and therefore by all means
permissible limits remains.

In order to bring about the temperature equalization described above, it has already been suggested that the oil pan of the engine be double-walled and that the resulting hollow roughness should be included in the cooling water flow. The manufacture of such motor housings is, however, relatively expensive, and the entire arrangement causes a substantial increase in weight. In other known facilities
