Multi-layer shelter ceiling as an additional cover for a ceiling construction
Increasing the puncture resistance of ceilings against bombs and projectiles
takes place according to the previously known construction methods either by reinforcement and reinforced
Reinforcement of the ceilings themselves (this type of construction requires low elasticity on impact,
therefore strongly destructive effect) or by dividing the ceiling in two independently
load-bearing layers. The ceilings are stacked on top of each other for energy distribution
supported so that the upper rests on flexible points of the lower, or
a load-distributing intermediate layer is switched on between the two ceilings.
These types of construction require considerable costs and a large construction height,
also promote the damaging effect of the containment in the event of an explosion.
The new design is based on the conception of the impact and the explosion as a shock of great speed. Accordingly, the impacting projectile or bomb is not immediately opposed to the rigid ceiling construction a (see Fig.), In the case of air protection ceilings usually a reinforced concrete ceiling, but first of all it encounters a fabric b made of thin, tear-resistant wires, which is placed on an intermediate layer c, which is as flexible as possible, z. B. fascine shrubbery, rests. Due to the resilience, a penetration of the filling layer and fabric is avoided and the impact speed is reduced. At this reduced speed, the projectile reaches the next fabric layer b, pushing a funnel from the first fabric layer and the first filling layer c in front of it. Due to the distribution of the impact pressure that has occurred and the reduced speed, the filling layer d below it can have a lower flexibility and strength and, for example, B. from sawdust or cork flour in the upper part, made of peat in the lower part. Layer d is followed by layers of fabric b alternating with filling layers e and f, e.g. B. e made of sand and f made of bitumen, of decreasing strength and resilience according to the impact velocity, so that in the ideal case the explosion finally takes place without tearing the fabric over the undamaged ceiling a. The formation of an explosion funnel is prevented or prevented by the tensile strength of the fabric, for which a vertical anchoring of the fabric to the concrete ceiling will be helpful.
Version A for unrestricted overall height enables protection
against heavy bombs and projectiles or against higher impact speeds,
while version B is intended as protection against lighter bombs.
neue Bauart billiger, weil an massiver Deckenkonstruktion bzw. an Konstruktionshöhe
Compared to the usual construction methods of air raid ceilings, the
new design cheaper because of solid ceiling construction or construction height
and weight is saved. It also has the advantage that it can be changed afterwards
can be applied to any existing ceiling.
