Description

Clamping ring seal with inherent resilience, consisting of two or more superimposed contiguous rings, in which the connection point between the two free ends of the rings is an additive to Patent 627768 The invention relates to a clamping ring seal with inherent resilience, consisting of two or more superimposed contiguous rings, in which the Connection point between the two free ends of the rings is, according to patent 627 768. The invention aims to further improve a clamping ring seal of this type, and consists in that the adjacent, ie opposing, ring surfaces forming the gap are ground or otherwise smoothed. This smoothing of the ring surfaces is intended to achieve the lowest possible frictional resistance of the surfaces and thus good working of the ring both in the direction of the cylinder axis and perpendicular to it. Furthermore, this is intended to reduce the friction of the oil on the annular surfaces forming the gap and to achieve the most unimpeded passage of the oil through the gap. The smoothing of the neighboring ring surfaces finally has the effect of largely preventing the build-up of oil coal in the gap.

An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is in Drawing shown.

The clamping ring seal i consists of two contiguous one on top of the other Rings 7, 8, the point of connection between the two free ends of the rings 7, 8 lies. The ring has two cutouts ¢, 5, which by one between the two rings 7, 8 extending gap 6 are connected to one another. The two neighboring, d. H. opposing and the gap 6 delimiting annular surfaces of one of which is denoted by 9, are ground or in some other way smoothed.
