Motor vehicle headlights Devices have already been proposed
through which the headlights of motor vehicles or their reflectors or light sources
depending on the movement of the steering wheel can be pivoted to this
Way to achieve a steering of the light cone, so that even when driving through the
Curves the light falls on the road.
hebt bzw. senkt. It has also been proposed to arrange a wedge-shaped plate in front of a spotlight to act without movement of the headlight by turning the keilförraigen plate movement of Lic 'htkegels to loading. In these known devices, however, the axis of the cone of light: .els moves on a cone shell, so that when the cone of light is to be deflected to the side in the horizontal direction, it rises or falls at the same time. There are also already known devices in which the deflection of the beam is removed from the axis direction of the -Scheinwerfers by a second fixed wedge disk, but in these known devices, the deflection of the light beam can by the second wedge disk in each case only for a certain direction of the light cone to be lifted, so that here too in waste of the beam steering in the horizontal direction simultaneously raises or lowers.
sonders einfachen Aufbau auszeichnet.
The invention aims to provide a motor vehicle headlamp, wherein Sicli moves the axis of the Lichtkelgels in a plane, without requiring the entire Scheinwerf2r or the light source would have to move. A raising and lowering of the light cone during its movement in the horizontal direction should be avoided by ZD. . To this end, the invention consists in the fact that zurLenkung the beams from Kraftwa-enscheinwerfern g a per se known optical means to Beeinflussun the direction of it passes through light beams is used - which consists of two mutually rotatable wedge discs such necessarily connected to each other, that they are always rotated by the same amount in opposite directions and the beam is deflected in a plane predetermined by the basic position of the wedge disks. In this way a Kraftwagensch £ inwerfer is created, which is particularly suitable as a bend lighting and is characterized by a loading simple set-up. The two wedge disks can each be composed of several parallel wedge-shaped strips. The two wedge disks are expediently set in metal rings, which are designed as comb wheels or are connected to comb wheels, between whose tooth combs facing each other a pinion is connected, the rotation of which can be caused by the rotation of the steering wheel. The device can be made in such a way that the two prismatic lenses can also rotate together about go '.
Dies bedeutet ZD praktisch
eine Schwenkung des Lichtkegels nach der Seite. The effect of the motor vehicle headlight projector according to the invention is based on the fact that, as long as the refracting edges of the two panes are parallel to each other, the two glass plates complement each other to form a plane-parallel plate and thus no deflection of the headlight occurs. Will. But if the two plates are twisted together so that their refracting edges form angles, the effects of the two plates no longer cancel each other out, but the light penetrating the plates is refracted because the two glass plates are no longer plane-parallel , but complement to a wedge-shaped plate. the greater the angle that the refracting edges of the two glass plates form with one another, the greater the deflection that the light penetrating the plates experiences, but the axis of the light cone moves in one plane. Are z. B. the two plates arranged so that in the zero position the breaking edges are horizontal and rotated by equal amounts to the right and left against each other, as a simple consideration shows, the breaking edge of the wedge resulting from the two glass plates in each position of the individual panels vertically, d. H. the light penetrating the plates is only deflected in the horizontal direction, but not also in the vertical direction. This means ZD practically a pivoting of the light cone to the side.
beiliegenden Ab-
bildungen dargestellt. Two embodiments of the subject invention are illustrated in the accompanying formations waste.
Abb. i zeigt die Anordnung zweier keilförmiger Glasplatten i, welche
i i abhängig gemacht, wie dies in Abb. 4 schematisch dargestellt ist.
Fig. I shows the arrangement of two wedge-shaped glass plates i, which are held in metal rings 2. These metal rings are designed as comb wheels with toothed combs 3 facing each other or are connected to such comb wheels. Between these tooth combs there is a pinion 4, the axis 5 of which is guided to the outside and is provided with a rotary head or a gear 6 on the outside. By turning the pinion 4, the two glass plates are rotated against each other in opposite directions. Thus, the wedge-shaped glass plates do not have too great a thickness at the base side, as shown in Fig. 2 and 3, the glass panes i, instead of being wedge-shaped as a whole, in a known manner from single-en wedge-shaped strip 7 consist. The mode of action of these panes consisting of prismatic strips is the same as the mode of action of the wedge-shaped panes according to Fig. I. In order to bring the movement of the light cone inevitably dependent on the movement of the steering wheel, so that at the same time as the steering wheel is turned to the right or to the left, the light cones are pivoted to the right or to the left by the corresponding amount, the rotation is advantageous of the pinion 6 made dependent on the rotation of the steering wheel ii by a suitable mechanical transmission, as is shown schematically in Fig. 4. Of course, any other known type of influencing the device by the steering wheel or by the movement of the front axles can also be used.
In fog or when encountering other vehicles or when driving in built-up areas, it is often desirable to deflect the light downwards to a greater or lesser extent. For this purpose, the device according to the present invention can be attached to the headlight in such a way that the two plates can perform an additional joint rotation about go ', so that in this position the light cone is deflected in the vertical direction by rotating the wedge disks against each other. It is advantageous to choose the arrangement so that only a downward deflection is possible, but an upward deflection may also be desirable under certain circumstances, for example when driving up steep inclines or when driving through underpasses or the like. Around this joint rotation of the two To enable wedge disks, as indicated in Fig. 7, the housing of the wedge disks is rotatably placed on the housing 8 of the headlight and secured by means of the screws 9, which engage in slots io of the housing 8. The device can be rotated by hand or from the driver's seat by means of known transmission elements (Bowden cable or the like) or electromagnetically.
