Description
Schab oder Messerkopf zum Kalibrieren und Glätten der Verschlußöffnungen von Papierflaschen Die Erfindung bezieht-sich auf Papierstoffflaschen und -behälte@, die durch zylindrisches Wickeln von Papierbahnen unter gleichzeitiger Einführung eines Binde- bzw. Imprägniermittels hergestellt werden und unter Anwendung von Druck und Wärme 'ihre endgültige Form erhalten. Die zu verschließende Öffnung solcher Papierstoffbehälter oder =Haschen muß zur Aufnahme von dichten, -insbesondere öldichten Verschlußkap'seln glatt und genau kali.briert sein. Es hat sich nun gezeigt, daß bei der Formung der Flaschen unter Druck und Wärme an der öffnung steinharte Bärte sich bilden, die das Glätten und Kalibrieren außerordentlich erschweren. Zur Beseitigung dieser steinharten Bärte haben sich der Verschlußöffnung angepaßte Schab- oder Messerköpfe aus Stahl oder Carborundum als völlig ungeeignet erwiesen. Es hat sich nun überraschenderweise herausgestellt, daß Schab- oder Messerköpfe aus Stahl sich nur wenig abnutzen, wenn man sie bis zur Rotglut erhitzt und mit verhältnismäßig hohen Umdrehungszahlen auf den Flaschen- oder Behälterhals einwirken läßt. Die von einem solchen Werkzeug ausgeübte Wirkung besteht in der Hauptsache- in einem Absengen der vorstehenden Grate oder Bärte. Die hohe Umdrehungszahl verhindert dabei ein eigentliches Brennen. Die Wirkung ist als eine kombinierte anzusehen, indem die hohe Wärme (Rotglut) des Werkzeugs zunächst die Gratteile, mit denen das Werkzeug beim Vorschub zuerst in Berührung kommt, sengt (verkohlt), worauf dann die angekohlten oder angesengten Teile unter Einwirkung der hohen Umdrehungsgeschwindigkeit abgeschert werden. Dabei hat es sich .als'vorteilhaft herausgestellt, die versengten und albgescherten Teile sofort abzusaugen, um jede Brennmöglichkeit zu unterbinden.Scraper or knife head for calibrating and smoothing the closure openings of paper bottles Maintain shape.
