Description
- Hintergrund der Erfindung
- Beim Empfang von Mikrowellensignalen, beispielsweise von Rundfunksatelliten, wo es erwünscht ist, ein mobiles Empfangsantennensystem zu verwenden, sind die Komponenten von solch einem System sehr teuer. Sie können eine konkave Empfangsschüssel, die typisch für Mikrowellenantennen ist, welche mittels eines Motors sowohl in der Elevation als auch im Azimut positioniert wird, und ein Encodersystem aufweisen, welches durch Verwendung einer elektronischen Steuerungseinrichtung die Antenne veranlaßt, den Satelliten zu verfolgen.
- Zusätzlich benötigt die mobile Plattform Kreiselsteuergeräte und zugehörige elektronische Verschaltungen/mechanische Aufstellungen, um sie zu stabilisieren. Mit der Verbreitung von Satellitensystemen ist es wünschenswert, eine mobile Nachführungsantenne zu haben, welche um wenigstens eine Größenordnung weniger kostet.
- Aufgabe und Zusammenfassung der Erfindung
- In der europäischen Patentanmeldung mit der Veröffentlichungs-Nr. 0 331 248 ist ein Antennensystem offenbart, welches mit Platten oder Facetten versehen ist, die versetzt werden können, um lediglich auf ein Empfangshorn fokussiert zu werden, was die Lenkung des Strahles begrenzt.
- Eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt darin, eine verbesserte mobile Nachführungsantenne anzugeben.
- In Übereinstimmung mit der obigen Aufgabe wird eine mobile Nachführungsantenne zum Empfang von Mikrowellensignalen von einem Satelliten oder einem entfernten Sender angegeben, die folgendes aufweist: Mindestens ein reflektierendes Mikrowellenlinsensegment mit einer Vielzahl von Mikrofacetten zum steuerbaren Fokussieren und Reflektieren eines empfangenen Mikrowellensignals von dem Satelliten oder dem entfernten Sender auf eine gegenüber dem reflektierenden Linsensegment angeordnete Mikrowellenempfangs-Horneinrichtung und eine Steuerungseinrichtung zum Einstellen der Facetten, um reflektierte Signale auf die Horneinrichtung zu zentrieren; wobei die Erfindung gekennzeichnet ist durch eine Rückkopplungs-Steuerungseinrichtung, welche auf die Stärke der empfangenen, von den Mikrofacetten der Linse reflektierten Mikrowellensignale anspricht, um den Azimutwinkel und Elevationswinkel von jeder der Facetten durch jeweiliges Verdrehen und Durchbiegen der Facetten einzustellen, um die reflektierten Signale auf ein optimales Empfangszentrum der Horneinrichtung zu zentrieren, um die Mikrowellensignale in Echtzeit von der mobilen Antenne nachzuführen.
- Die zuvor erwähnte europäische Patentanmeldung mit der Veröffentlichungs-Nr. 0 331 248 liefert keine Offenbarung der vorteilhaften Eigenschaften der vorliegenden Erfindung, daß die Facetten gedreht werden können, und in der Tat wäre es schwierig, eine Anwendung von solch einem Konzept bei dem Stand der Technik auszuführen.

1 zeigt eine mobile Antenne10 , um die Mikrowellensignale von Satelliten oder entfernten Sendern zu verfolgen, welche auf einigen Arten von mobilen Plattformen zu montieren ist, wie etwa einem Militärfahrzeug, Schiff, LKW oder einem Automobil, wobei die Plattform nicht tatsächlich gezeigt ist, jedoch mit dem Pfeil11 gezeigt wird, daß die Antenne auf einer mobilen Plattform montiert ist. - Die Antenne weist verschiedene reflektierende Mikrowellenlinsensegmente
12a bis12f auf (beispielsweise sind sechs angezeigt), welche in einer quasi-konischen Formation angeordnet sind, um einen 360°-Empfangswinkel für den Empfang der Mikrowellensignale zur Verfügung zu stellen. Jedes Segment weist eine Vielzahl von Mikrofacetten auf, die im allgemeinen in einer gemeinsamen Ebene liegen (was noch detaillierter beschrieben wird), zum steuerbaren Fokussieren und Reflektieren der empfangenen Mikrowellensignale von dem Satelliten auf eine gegenüber dem reflektierenden Linsensegment12a bis12f angeordnete Mikrowellenempfangs-Horneinrichtung13a bis13f . - Obwohl sechs Segmente gezeigt werden, sind auch andere Konfigurationen möglich, abhängig von der Auflösung und dem Empfangswinkel. Obwohl jedes Segment als eben dargestellt wird, könnten sie auch gekrümmt sein.

2 zeigt eine typische Horneinrichtung13a , bei welcher ihr Empfangsende14 in vier mit A, B, C und D gekennzeichnete Sektoren eingeteilt ist, die um eine senkrechte Achse16 angeordnet sind, welche ein Zentrum oder einen Ursprung an ihrem Kreuzungspunkt17 hat. Dieser Punkt ist auch das optimale Empfangszentrum für die Horneinrichtung13a hinsichtlich ihrer einzeln zugeordneten reflektierenden Linsensegmente12a . - Unter Bezugnahme auf
12 sind alle sechs Horneinrichtungen13a bis13f mit einem Mikrowellensignalsensor und einer Steuerung18 mit vier Eingängen verbunden, wobei jeder jeweils zu A, B, C und D von jeder Horneinrichtung gehört. Durch die später beschriebene Verarbeitung stellt die Sensor- und Steuereinheit18 ein Rückkopplungssignal zur Verfügung, um das empfangene und reflektierte Mikrowellensignal auf das optimale Empfangszentrum17 der ausgewählten Horneinrichtung zu richten. - Das Ergebnis der obigen Rückkopplungszentrierung ist in
3 gezeigt, wo die Achse16 der Horneinrichtung zusammen mit ihrem Zentrum17 dargestellt ist. Anfänglich wird angenommen, daß das Mikrowellensignal, wie mittels des durchgezogenen Kreises21 gezeigt, empfangen und von der Elevations- und Azimutnullstellung um ΔEL und ΔAZ mit einem Offset versehen wird. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung liegt darin, eine Verschiebung zu dem gestrichelten Kreis21' vorzunehmen, so daß das empfangene Mikrowellensignal mit dem optimalen Empfangszentrum17 übereinstimmt; das heißt mit solchen ΔAZ und ΔEL-Fehlern, die sich Null annähern. - Die
4A und4B zeigen, wie das Steuerungssystem gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung auf Azimut- und Elevationsfehler bei Signalen SA oder SE anspricht. Durch die Abtastung dieser Fehler stellt das Rückkopplungssystem die Mikrofacetten des einzelnen fraglichen Segmentes ein, um das Reflektorsignal, wie in3 dargestellt, zu zentrieren. - Um das Vorhergehende zu erreichen, müssen die Mikrofacetten eines ausgewählten Segmentes der individuellen Segmente
12a bis12f in Synchronisation eingestellt werden. Darüber hinaus muss eine reflektierende Linse vom mikroelektromechanischen Typ vorgesehen sein, um unter Verwendung von Halbleiterverarbeitungstechniken Mikrofacetten zu konstruieren, welche auf einfache Weise gesteuert werden können und dazu noch die notwendigen optischen Mikrowelleneigenschaften aufweisen. -
5 zeigt als Beispiel einen Abschnitt des Segmentes12a , wo jede Facette wie bei22 dargestellt wird. Selbstverständlich würden dort Hunderttausende von Facetten auf einem einzelnen Segment sein. -
6 ist ein idealisierter Querschnitt einer einzelnen Facette, wobei diese tatsächlich aus einem Silizium- oder Keramik- (oder einem Kunststoff-) Wafer mikromaschinell hergestellt ist. Daher kann der bei23 gezeigte Querschnittsbereich Silizium sein, wobei die Aussparung24 durch Ätzen hergestellt ist, um eine einzelne Mikrofacette26 über den Hohlraum freitragend von einer der Wände der Aussparung26 zu bilden. -
7 ist eine ebene Draufsicht von6 , wo die Facette26 mit dem Hauptkörper23 mittels eines dünnen Schenkelbereiches27 verbunden ist. Die Oberfläche28 einer jeden Facette26 ist beispielsweise mit einem Metall, wie etwa Aluminium oder Gold oder mit jeglichem leitfähigen Metall, beschichtet, welches eine reflektierende Oberfläche für die Mikrowellensignale zur Verfügung stellt. - Um die Facette steuerbar zu bewegen, um für die Azimut- und Elevationskorrekturen, wie in
3 angezeigt, zu sorgen, besteht eine Technik darin, auf der Rückseite29 einer jeden Facette Metallanschlüsse31 und32A und32B vorzusehen. - Dann werden durch das Anpassen von Kontaktstellen, die mit einem entsprechenden Apostroph auf der Grundfläche
33 der Aussparung24 bezeichnet sind, diese leitfähigen Kontaktstellen31' und32'A und32'B von der bei34 angedeutet, mit einer elektrostatischen Aktion versehenen Steuerungssignaleingabe selektiv betätigt, wobei eine Verdrehung der Facette26 bewirkt wird, um den Azimutwinkel zu steuern, oder eine Verbiegung bewirkt wird, um den Elevationswinkel zu steuern (siehe8B ). - Obwohl ein Paar von Kontaktstellen
32A ,32B gezeigt ist, kann auch eine Kontaktstelle hinreichend sein. Sämtliche oben beschriebenen Komponenten können durch wohlbekannte oder integrierte Schaltungsverarbeitungstechniken zur Verfügung gestellt werden. - Alternativ zu dem in
10 gezeigten kann anstelle der elektrostatischen Betätigung der Schenkel27 der Kontaktstelle26 mit einer Piezo-Plastikkupplung36 verbunden sein und durch die Steuerungssignale34 angetrieben werden, um die gleiche Betätigungsart zu bieten. - Somit ist die gesamte Technik zum Nachführen von einem Satellitensignal (welche von Natur aus auch eine Stabilisierungsfunktion zur Verfügung stellt) in
11 dargestellt. Als erstes wird in Schritt41 jedes Linsensegment12a bis12f mit dem groben Fokussierungsschritt42 initialisiert, und eine Suche nach demjenigen Empfängersegment wird mit der Technik gemäß Gleichung 1 durchgeführt, welches das beste Satellitensignal empfängt. Dieses Segment wird betätigt. - Die Gleichung 1 zeigt im wesentlichen, daß die beste Signalstärke die Addition der Sektoren A bis D ist. Dann wird in Schritt
43 für das aktivierte Segment die notwendige Azimutwinkel- und Elevationswinkelkorrektur berechnet. Dieses sind Gleichungen2 und3 , wo für die Elevationswinkelkorrektur A und B und C und D Sektoren der Horneinrichtung13a von2 subtrahiert werden, und für den Azimutwinkel die A- und C- und B- und D-Sektoren subtrahiert werden. - Dann werden in Schritt
44 die Fehlersteuerungssignale SE und SA, wie in den4A und4B gezeigt, mit der Verwendung des Δ-Elevationswinkels und Δ-Azimutwinkelsignals abgeleitet, die durch das gesamte aufsummierte Signal, welches durch die Gleichungen4 und5 gezeigt wird, eingeteilt sind. Die Anwendung von diesen Steuerungssignalen über die Steuerungssignaleingabe34 von9 verschiebt daher die Facetten derart, daß das empfangene Signal21' , wie in3 gezeigt, eingegeben wird. Dann kann in Schritt46 der Fokus bei Bedarf scharfgestellt werden. - Dieses wird durch Anwendung zusätzlicher Steuerungssignale auf die Facetten durchgeführt, um einen schärferen Fokus als in
13 dargestellt, zur Verfügung zu stellen, wo51 einen breiten Fokus und52a einen schmalen Fokus zeigt. - Um die gesteuerte Bewegung der Facetten von jedem Segment detaillierter zu erklären, wird jede Facette in Bezug auf seine angrenzenden Facetten entweder linear oder nicht linear derart bewegt, daß die gegenüberliegenden Facetten das Signal in Richtung des Zentrums der Horneinrichtung fokussieren, um derart die beste Null-Lage für das Azimutwinkel- und Elevationswinkel-Fehlersignal zu erhalten.
- Im allgemeinen und unter Bezugnahme zum Beispiel auf das Segment
12a werden die oberen Halbfacetten eine negative Steigung und die unteren Halbfacetten eine positive Steigung aufweisen, wenn das Segment in obere und untere Hälften eingeteilt ist. - Wenn auf ähnliche Weise das Segment in linke und rechte Hälften eingeteilt ist, dann werden jeweils positive und negative Steigungen bestehen. Um eine Nachführung in Echtzeit zu ermöglichen, wird bei
47 ein Rücksprung gemacht, um den Schritt41 oder realistischer den Schritt42 zu initialisieren. - Daher ist eine Echtzeitnachführung und auch Stabilisierung gegeben. Wenn erst einmal mittels der Null-Lagenverarbeitung von SE und SA die Nachführung bewirkt wird, dann ist das Summensignal (Gleichung 1) maximiert. Die übertragene Information des Summensignals wird dann mittels des Empfängers demoduliert.
- Das mikroelektromechanische System, welches somit durch mikromaschinelle Halbleiter-Verarbeitungstechnik zur Verfügung gestellt wird, ist bei der Herstellung ökonomischer, speziell im Vergleich zur groben Krafttechnik der Vergangenheit, und darüber hinaus ist es, besonders für hohe Verlässlichkeit, sehr robust und haltbar.
- Somit konnte eine verbesserte mobile Nachführungsantenne angegeben werden.

Claims (12)
- Mobile Nachführungsantenne (
11 ) zum Empfang von Mikrowellensignalen von einem Satelliten oder einem entfernten Sender, die folgendes aufweist: mindestens ein reflektierendes Mikrowellenlinsensegment (12a bis12f ) mit einer Vielzahl von Mikrofacetten (22 ) zum steuerbaren Fokussieren und Reflektieren eines empfangenen Mikrowellensignals von dem Satelliten oder dem entfernten Sender auf eine gegenüber dem reflektierenden Linsensegment angeordnete Mikrowellenempfangs-Horneinrichtung (13a bis13f ) und eine Steuerungseinrichtung (18 ) zum Einstellen der Facetten, um reflektierte Signale auf die Horneinrichtung zu zentrieren; wobei die Erfindung gekennzeichnet ist durch eine Rückkopplungs-Steuerungseinrichtung (18 ,19 ,33 ), welche auf die Stärke der empfangenen, von den Mikrofacetten (22 ) der Linse reflektierten Mikrowellensignale anspricht, um die Azimutwinkel und Elevationswinkel von jeder der Facetten (22 ) durch jeweiliges Verdrehen und Biegen der Facetten einzustellen, um die reflektierten Signale auf ein optimales Empfangszentrum (17 ) der Horneinrichtung zu zentrieren, um die Mikrowellensignale in Echtzeit von der mobilen Antenne nachzuführen. - Antenne gemäß Anspruch 1, wobei die Rückkopplungs-Steuerungseinrichtung (
18 ,19 ,23 ) eine Fokussierung der Mikrowellensignale in Bezug auf die Horneinrichtung (13a bis13f ) realisiert. - Antenne gemäß Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei das Mikrowellenlinsensegment (
12a bis12f ) Mikrofacetten (22 ) aufweist, welche mit mikromaschinellen Halbleiter-Verarbeitungstechniken hergestellt sind. - Antenne gemäß Anspruch 3, wobei das Mikrowellenlinsensegment (
12a bis12f ) aus einem der folgenden drei Materialien gebildet ist: Silizium, Keramik oder Kunststoff. - Antenne gemäß Anspruch 1 bis 4, welche eine Vielzahl von Segmenten (
12a bis12f ) aufweist, die in einer quasi-konischen Formation angeordnet sind, um einen 360°-Empfangswinkel für die Mikrowellensignale zur Verfügung zu stellen. - Antenne gemäß Anspruch 5, die eine Einrichtung zum Selektieren eines Segmentes aus der Vielzahl der Segmente (
12a bis12f ) aufweist, welches das Mikrowellensignal mit der größten Stärke empfängt. - Antenne gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, wobei jede der Mikrofacetten (
22 ) eine leitfähige Oberfläche aufweist, an welcher die Mikrowellensignale reflektiert werden. - Antenne gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, wobei die Horneinrichtung (
13a bis13f ) vier Sektoren (A, B, C, D) aufweist, die um eine orthogonale Achse (16 ) angeordnet sind, wobei der Ursprung der Achse in dem optimalen Empfangszentrum (17 ) liegt. - Antenne gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, wobei jede der Mikrofacetten (
22 ) einen Azimutwinkel und Elevationswinkel aufweist, die mit einer elektrostatischen Einrichtung gesteuert werden, welche von der Rückkopplungs-Steuerungseinrichtung angesteuert wird. - Antenne gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8, wobei jede der Facetten einen Azimutwinkel und Elevationswinkel aufweist, die durch eine Piezo-Kunststoff-Kupplung gesteuert werden, die von der Rückkopplungs-Steuerungseinrichtung angetrieben wird.
- Antenne gemäß Anspruch 9, wobei die elektrostatische Einrichtung metallisierte Kontaktflächen (
31 ,31' ,32a ,32'a ,32b ,32'b ) auf jeder der Facetten aufweist, welche neben fixierten metallisierten Kontaktstellen liegen, die als effektive Kapazitäten dienen, um die elektrostatischen Kräfte für die Azimut- und Elevationssteuerung zur Verfügung zu stellen. - Antenne gemäß Anspruch 3, wobei ein Siliziumwafer geätzt ist, um einen Hohlraum mit einer Facette zu bilden, die freitragend über dem Hohlraum liegt.
