Die den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildende Vorrichtung, welche dazu bestimmt ist, die Uebertragung einer für den Briefwechsel vereinbarten Geheimschrift in gewöhnliche Schrift und umgekehrt nach einem bestimmten Schlüssel zu ermöglichen, ist auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung in der Fig. 1 in Ansicht und in der Fig. 2 im Querschnitt dargestellt. Sie besteht zunächst in bekannter Weise aus zwei auf einer gemeinschaftlichen Achse d gegen einander drehbaren, kreisrunden Scheiben ab, welche am Rande Buchstaben und Zahlen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge enthalten. Diese Scheiben sind im vorliegenden Falle in 36 ringförmig neben einander angeordnete Felder eingetheilt, in denen die Buchstäben A bis Z und die Ziffern 1 bis 9 und aufserdem ein Fragezeichen, welches unter Umständen an die Stelle der Null zu treten hat, eingetragen sind.
