Description
The invention relates to a floating suction dredger. the free end of a lifting and lowerable and horizontally pivotable in a cantilever mounted rotating paddle wheel, to which a variable-length suction pipe connects, the ball-and-socket joint is connected to the dredger.
In a known floating suction dredger of this type, the suction pipe is attached to the hull with a ball joint and consists of two parts that can be pushed into one another. The boom carrying the drive device for the rotating paddle wheel at the free end of the suction pipe is mounted on the hull above the ball joint so that it can pivot vertically and horizontally. This arrangement changes the angle between the suction tube and the boom when lifting and lowering, because the pivot axes of the two parts do not coincide. This has the consequence that the digging tool must rotate either with respect to the boom or with respect to the suction pipe. The former is unfavorable for the drive device, the latter for connecting the digging tool to the 2S suction pipe. In both cases, the storage of the paddle wheel is unfavorable because it is special. Devices have to be created to compensate for the movements of the paddle wheel that occur during lifting and lowering, which is not easy with the drive operating under water.
According to the invention it is proposed that between the outer part connected to the liftable and lowerable and horizontally pivotable boom and the variable-length part of the suction line, a further ball joint is switched on. In order to be able to make several cuts with the device without pushing the dredger forward, ^ 0 it is expedient to make the arm of the crane-like frame carrying the paddle wheel variable in length.
Es kann also dieThe disadvantages mentioned are eliminated by the invention. In addition, there is still extensive freedom of movement in the arrangement of the vertical pivot axis of the pivoting boom. So it can do the
Suction pipeline expediently be connected to the underwater part of the ship's wall in an articulated manner, while when storing the boom 3, which is expediently arranged on the upper deck, the existing local conditions of the ship can be taken into account. Despite this freedom of arrangement of the pivot axes of the two mutually independent parts, the paddle wheel axis can be fixedly arranged in the boom.
The invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment.

Fig. 2 is a plan view of this. In the dredger a is the suction line b, to which the suction line d, d 1 is connected by means of a ball joint c, which carries the paddle wheel in the usual way at its free end. The front part fii of the suction pipe is mounted in the rear part (P- so that it can move lengthways) and contains another ball joint /. On the deck of the dredger α , a swivel frame g is swiveled about the axis h by means of a ring gear / together with a pinion k in a horizontal plane. The swivel frame g carries a boom I, which is connected to it by means of a horizontal pin m and can be swiveled in a vertical plane by means of the cable pull «. The free end of the boom / is connected to the free end of the suction tube so that when the boom is raised and lowered I the suction pipe d, d l is also raised and lowered by means of the cable pull n . The drive device 0 and the drive machine are mounted on the boom L.
The boom / can consist of two parts, which are mutually displaceable so that several cuts are excavated can without the dredger being pushed forward.
