Description

Mündungsschoner für Schußwaffen Während das Reinigen von Militärgewehren schon heute fast ausschließlich mit Hilfe einer durch den Lauf hindurchzuziehenden, das Reinigungsgerät tragenden Wischkette oder eines Wischseils erfolgt, hat sich dieses Reinigungsgerät in Jägerkreisen noch nicht einbürgern können, obwohl man die Vorteile dieses Reinigungsgeräts auch in Jägerkreisen erkannt hat. Der Hauptgrund dafür, daß man für die Reinigung von jagdbüchsenläufen immer noch den Wischstock benutzt, liegt .darin, daß bisher eine geeignete Vorrichtung fehlt, welche die Laufmündung gegen die von der Wischkette oder dem Wischseil hervorgerufene Abnutzung sichert. Diese Sicherung ist beim Militärgewehr durch den Mündungsschoner gegeben. Derartige Mündungsschoner sind aber für Jagdbüchsen nicht in Gebrauch, und zwar deshalb nicht, weil die Läufe der handelsüblichen Jagdbüchsen keinen einheitlichenAußendurchmesser haben. Es ist zwar bekannt, in die Mündung des Waffenlaufs einen mit einem Mittellängskanal versehenen Körper einzustecken, der aus einem langen zylindrischen Teil und einem sich anschließenden kürzeren konischen Teil besteht. Dieser Körper dient als Führung des Wischstocks und schützt die Laufmündung gegen Beschädigungen durch den Wischstock. Dieser Mündungsschoner ist aber nur für Waffenläufe gleicher Stärke verwendbar. Dasselbe gilt für einen ebenfalls bekannten Wischstockzentralführer mit Mündungsdeckel und Kornschutz für Pistolen und kurze Handfeuerwaffen, bei welchem in der auf der Mündung des Laufes fest angeordneten Hülse tange-ntial drei Führungsstäbchen drehbar so gelagert sind, daß durch ihre Verstellung die Laufmündung zugänglich wird. Eine auf die Hülse aufgeschobene drehbare Kappe umgibt den dachförmigen Teil des Korns mit Kornfuß an drei Seiten. Die den Kornschutz tragende Hülse ist entsprechend der Kornfußbreite geschlitzt.
