erhitzt. Geeignet ist z. B. reines, farbloses Paraffinöl. Man erhält auf diese Weise
eine rasche, geregelte Kohlensäureabspaltung. Die Zersetzungstemperatur läßt sich
sehr leicht genau einstellen. örtliche Überhitzung und unerwünschte Nebenreaktionen
unter Bildung kohliger Zersetzungsprodukte werden sicher vermieden.Process for the production of high molecular weight aliphatic-aromatic
Amines It has been found that aliphatic aromatic amines with more than eight
Carbon atoms can be advantageously produced if the z. B. through implementation
obtainable from α-halogen fatty acids with aromatic or aliphatic-aromatic amines
u- (arylamino) - or a- (alkylarylamino) -fatty acids, «-which have more than nine carbon atoms
contained in the fatty acid residue, in an inert, sufficiently high-boiling solvent
heated. Suitable is z. B. pure, colorless paraffin oil. One gets in this way
a rapid, regulated carbon dioxide elimination. The decomposition temperature can be
very easy to adjust precisely. local overheating and undesirable side reactions
with the formation of carbonaceous decomposition products are safely avoided.
Kohlendioxyd entsteht.
It has already been suggested tri-, penta- and heptadecylaniline
by heating a-anilino-myristic, -palmitic and -stearic acid,
in each case 70, 63, 57% of the theoretical yield of the corresponding alkylanilines
had received. In the present process, however, the yield is practical
100% of the theoretical yield. That the reaction in the new process is quantitative
runs, one can see from it that when processing molecular quantities exactly i mol
Carbon dioxide is produced. The method can be carried out, for example, as follows
are: 375 parts by weight of α-anilinostearic acid are ten times the amount by weight
Paraffin oil is dissolved under heating and the temperature is slowly increased. at
about 14o 'begins noticeable evolution of gas; it reaches the strongest degree at
Zoo up to 22o °. There is no further increase in temperature to around 28o °
Result in gas development. The reaction is practically quantitative; d. H. at
Processing of 1 mole of acid produces around 22.25 liters of carbon dioxide. The paraffin solution
is light yellow in the heat, after cooling light brown in color, but perfect
clear. The known preparative methods can be used to separate the base formed
Chemistry can be used for the purification of bases from reaction mixtures. E.g.
the paraffin solution of heptadecylaniline is diluted with the same volume of ether
and passed in hydrogen chloride with stirring. The heptadecylaniline hydrochloride
precipitates as a white, finely crystalline mass. If the thickening occurs too much,
one further dilutes with ether. After saturation with hydrogen chloride is complete
Allowed to cool, sucked off the hydrochloride and washed with ice-cold ether.
To prepare the base, the hydrochloride is in
hot water
suspended and sodium hydroxide solution was added with stirring until an alkaline reaction was achieved.

absorb, wash the ethereal solution with water until: neutral reaction and dry
and finally distill off the ether. The residue represents the practically pure
Base. This cleaning is unnecessary for most purposes.
Die a-(Alkylarylamino)-fettsäuren
sind z. B. aus a-Halogenfettsäuren durch Umsetzung mit Mono- oder Dialkylarylaminen
mit niederen Alkylresten, z. B. Mono- und Dimethylanilin, unter Entwicklung von
Halogenwasserstoff bzw. Alkylhalogenid erhältlich. Die Kohlensäureabspaltung

In a similar way, other amino fatty acids, such as cc- (monomethylanilino) -lauric acid, can be converted into the corresponding amines. The a- (alkylarylamino) fatty acids are, for. B. from a-halogen fatty acids by reaction with mono- or dialkylarylamines with lower alkyl radicals, for. B. mono- and dimethylaniline, available with evolution of hydrogen halide or alkyl halide.
