Description
Verfahren zur Gewinnung der Gesamtpigmentstoffe der Curcuma-Drogen Es ist bekannt, Curctuna-Drogen bzw. Auszüge aus den Drogen als Arzneimittel zu verwenden. Hierbei ist man bis jetzt von der Annahme ausgegangen, daß die eigentlich wirksamen Stoffe der Drogen entweder ein in dem ätherischen Öl der Wurzel vorkommendes Sesquiterpen von der Zusammensetzung Cis H24 (vgl. Archiv der . Pharmazie und Berichte derDeutschenPharmazeutischen Gesellschaft, 1932, Seite 418) oder das Curcumin (vgl. Münchener Medizinische Wochenschrift, 1933, Seite526, linke Spalte, Ziffer4) oder auch z. T. die wasserlöslichen Bestandteile der Droge (vgl. Deutsche Medizinische Wochenschrift, 1932, Seite 1721, rechteSpalte, Absatz 4) seien. Man hat deshalb für pharinazeutische Zwecke Präparate in denHandel gebracht, die im Hinblick auf die nicht sichere Kenntnis von den spezifisch wirksamen Bestandteilen der Droge die Gesamtextrakte der Droge enthalten.Process for obtaining the total pigment substances of the turmeric drugs It is known to use curctuna drugs or extracts from the drugs as medicaments. Man hat auch bereits einen chemisch reinen Farbstoff, das Curcumin, der nach den Angaben derLiteratur bis zu o,3°4 in derDroge enthalten ist, durch Extraktion der Curcuma dornestica mit Trichloräthylen gewonnen. Hierbei werden die aus dem öligen Extrakt sich abscheidenden Farbstoffballenabgesaugt, in Alkali gelöst und durch Fällen mit Säure und wiederholter Umkristallisation das Curcumin gewonnen. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß bei diesem Verfahren erhebliche Mengen von phenolischen Farbstoffen im Öl zurückbleiben, die ähnlich wie Curcumin wirksam sind, und daß man die gesamten wirksamen Farbstoffe aus den Extrakten erhalten kann, wenn man diese vor der Abtrennung der öligen Anteile mit Alkalien behandelt.You already have a chemically pure dye, curcumin, which, according to the literature, is contained in the drug up to 0.3 ° 4 Extraction of the Turmeric dornestica obtained with trichlorethylene. Man extrahiert ioo Teile Curcuma longä mit kaltem Methanol. Aus dem Extrakt erhält
man nach dem Verdampfen des Lösungsmittels io Teile Rückstand. Dieser besteht in
der Hauptsache aus Pigmentstoffen, fetten und ätherischen Ölen, Harzen, Kohlehydraten
und Salzen von Pflanzensäuren. Mit Wasser' lassen sich daraus die Kohlehydrate und
Salze (etwa i Teil) herauslösen. Nimmt man die verbleibende Masse dann in Alther
und Natronlauge auf, so kann man mit der Ätherschicht die Öle (3,5 Teile) abtrennen,
während alle alkalilöslichen Bestandteile in der wäßrigen Schicht vereinigt sind.
Aus dieser erhält man durch Säurefällung einen Niederschlag, der zum überwiegenden
Teil aus Pigmentstoffen besteht. Durch Behandeln mit Natrium-Bicarbonat-Lösung entzieht
manHarzsäuren (o,5 Teile). Der so isolierte Komplex von amorphen, gelbbraunen Pigmenten
(5 Teile) zeigt Phenoleigenschaften und schmilzt zwischen ioo bis iao°; er ist aber
keineswegs identisch mit Curcumin (Fp. i83), das nur einer seiner Bestandteile ist.
