Device for achieving through-flow lubrication for piston engines
Last but not least, the operational safety of a piston machine depends. from the effective
and adequate lubrication of the piston raceway. If one poses in this direction
particularly high requirements, it is not enough that the piston raceway at
Operation of the machine always supplies just as much Ü1 as is consumed because the
Lubricity of the oil if it is correspondingly high for a long time. Temperatures
is exposed to the piston career, decreases sharply. For this grande is already proposed
been to supply the piston raceway more oil than is consumed and the excess oil
to collect and derive again. For this purpose there are two parallel in the piston
at a certain distance from each other arranged annular grooves provided with
Correspondingly on the circumference of the cylinder, arranged annular grooves for supply and discharge
of the oil work together. Such an arrangement of annular grooves in both
Pistons as in cylinders, however, can only be made relatively creeping
Achieve an oil change across the lubrication surface.
In internal combustion engines, one of which has been increased to the extreme
Performance is required, i.e. for machines with very high mechanical loads,
and pistons that are exposed to very high temperatures can be sufficiently inserted in this way
do not achieve a quick oil change on the lubrication surface.
Man erhält
In particular for such cases it is proposed according to the invention,
to arrange connecting grooves in the piston body between the annular grooves of the piston.
Such connecting grooves reduce the flow resistance that the oil has on its way
has to overcome between the two ring grooves located in the cylinder, essential
decreased. The result is that the oil moves faster from the supply to the discharge point
arrives than in the case where it is due to the lack of connecting grooves only as
Oil skin can move over the cylinder after the oil collection point. You get
so, a kind of continuous lubrication which, as practical tests have already shown,
also meets the highest requirements.
If circuit lubrication using an oil pump is possible,
to which the returning excess oil is fed via a collecting container, and
In the case of use, it is an internal combustion engine with a crankcase purge,
so it is advisable to use the oil collecting tank connected to the circuit above the oil
located room via a one
Suction line containing check valve
to connect with the crankcase space. With this arrangement, the oil circulation is dad.urcll.
supports that the oil surplus at the cylinder is caused by the time in the crankcase
the prevailing negative pressure is extracted, LiheE is returned to the oil tank,
from which the oil circulation pump supplies the oil to the lubricating surface of the cylinder
feeds again.
