Description
Methods of Skeletonizing Photographs The invention relates to Method of skeletonizing. of photographs and preparing gelatin silver salt emulsion layers for skeletonizing.
By skeletonization one understands the rearrangement of the development an exposed layer initially in a fog-like uniform distribution resulting.schwarzten Silver particles in the skeletal shape of the previous nebula, which are then separated from one another lighter background with the character of a line drawing stands out.
The invention consists in the fact that there is little swelling for layers to be skeletonized Gelatine is used or the swellability of the gelatine is reduced. One can For example, water the unexposed plates, films and the like several times and then let it dry up again. Drying can be done, as suggested earlier, increase to dehydration. It is also shown that with layers pretreated in this way the skeletonization is significantly finer and that there is also the risk of swimming away the total layer is reduced if the bath temperature is too high. While it is otherwise if the temperature was too high, the entire shift could suddenly occur loosened and swam away, the swimming here continues clearly and distinctly, above all Things are slowly settling in on the outer edges. In general, the scaling falls the finer the selected, the higher the degree of drying.
It still has a particularly beneficial effect when it is dried takes the layer side down. In the opposite position, they can be strong softened layer, following its gravity, towards the surface of the Migrate towards the layer, which is enriched in this way with silver particles. this also favors the skeletonizing process.
