Superheated steam surface cooler with cooling tubes sprinkled with the cooling water
The invention relates to superheated steam surface coolers with cooling water
Cooling pipes sprinkled in a thin layer and mixed in the cooler
of the steam to be cooled with the steam arising from the cooling water.
These superheated steam surface coolers with skin evaporation are already available
known and like any surface cooler have the advantage that the
Water required for cooling does not come into direct contact with the steam to be cooled
comes. Surface coolers with sprinkling also have the particular advantage that
to achieve a quick regulation of the desired temperature and dry steam
is guaranteed. According to the invention, a type of this cooler is now proposed,
which, in addition to simplicity, also has special advantages in operation.
According to the invention cooling tubes are provided in straight strands
standing upright with its lower end into a chamber above the steam supply and steam discharge chamber
arranged tube plate are rolled. These cooling tubes penetrate with their upper
End in holes larger in diameter than the outside diameter of the cooling tubes
a plate serving in a manner known per se for distributing the cooling water and
open a short distance above this plate into a mixing room. The distribution plate
receives a large opening in the middle with an overflow that is lower,
than the cooling pipes protrude over the distribution plate.
The purpose of this design is that the steam to be cooled together
with the steam from the cooling water trickling down the outer wall of the pipes
through which one half of the tubes flows off, so that particularly good mixing is achieved
of the total steam is achieved. In addition, the arrangement of the overflow offers
in the upper distribution plate the advantage that the cooling water overflows into the
Cooling pipes is made impossible if too large a quantity of cooling water enters the radiator
should be fed.
Es besteht also
The drawing shows a sectional view of the cooler. The steam to be cooled enters the chamber a of the lower part b, from where it flows through the pipes c from bottom to top. At the free ends of the tubes c, the steam enters the space d of the housing lt and then flows through the tubes f from top to bottom. The steam leaves the cooler through the chamber g of the lower part b. The cooling tubes c and f are rolled with their lower end into a tube plate m arranged above the chambers a and g for the supply and removal of the steam. The cooling water enters the cooler through the nozzle i on the housing h, flows onto the distribution plate k and can only flow down through the holes za, which are slightly larger than the outer diameter of the cooling tubes c and f, on the tubes c and f . The outer walls of the pipes c and f are covered with a thin layer of water. This skin of water enables rapid heating and evaporation of the cooling water. The saturated steam generated from the cooling water rises to obt '. and mixes with the superheated steam to be cooled in space d. In the middle of the distribution plate k there is a large opening with an overflow o which is lower than the pipes c and f protrude over the distribution plate. If too much water is added when the temperature regulator fails, the excess water flows through the center hole of the overflow o, falls down into space p of the housing and can be drained through the drainage line l. The overflow o causes an impermissibly high rise of the water over the distribution plate and thus an overflow of the cooling water into the cooling tubes c and f is avoided, so there is no risk of the cooling water getting into the steam flow.
