Waschtrommeln, deren Innenraum in Längsabteile gegliedert ist, sind in verschiedener
Durchbildung bekannt, auch solche, bei denen die Abteilwände zur Bildung des Trommelumfangs
profilartig abgebogen sind und die Stirnwände kreisausschnittförmige Teilung haben.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf derartige Waschtrommeln und-besteht darin, daß die
Abteilwände nach der Achsmitte hin einen offenen Raum lassen, so daß ein gutes Durchspülen
der Wäsche auch in der Mitte der Trommel stattfinden kann, und mit den an den Rändern
hochgezogenen Stirnwandteilen und den die Achszapfen tragenden Formträgern rippenbildend
verbunden sind, wodurch trotz Verwendung von ..dünnem Blech eine gute Festigkeit
und Steifheit erreicht und Kanten und Nietstellen im Trommelinnern vollständig vermieden
werden, ferner darin, daß in den Abteilen stegartige, nach der Achsmitte gerichtete
und hier durchbrochene Prallkörper angeordnet sind, die das Einrollen der Wäsche
bei dem Umlauf der Trommel in gleichbleibender Drehrichtung verhindern, ein gutes
Durchspülen zulassen und Erschütterungen durch starkes Fallen der Wäsche vermeiden.
Die bekanntgewordenen längs geteilten Waschtrommeln besitzen die genannten fortschrittlichen
Merkmale- nicht. Sie sind in ihrem Aufbau schwer und teuer und kommen deshalb für
kleine, leichte und billige Haushaltwaschmaschinen nicht in Frage. Longitudinal,: @@ htrommel

The longitudinally divided washing drums that have become known do not have the aforementioned advanced features. They are heavy and expensive in their construction and are therefore out of the question for small, light and cheap household washing machines.
