Description

Process for the production of coated, in particular chromo paper In the coated paper industry, white or colored paper is bound Pigments on the paper next to animal glues, adhesives made from starch derivatives and the like, especially casein is used. The acid casein used is in order to be able to use it for coating the papers, beforehand on alkaline Ways to be solved. It has also been proposed to add the alkali in this way measured that an allegedly neutral cash redemption arises, the one with neutral or weakly alkaline dyes or fillers mixed, also as a coating agent Can be used. A complete neutralization and dissolution of the casein glue however, cannot be achieved in this way. In contrast, there is the invention in that for the production of the coated, especially Chromopapiers .ein coating slip whose casein glue is neutralized with the help of an acidified protective colloid became. It has already been suggested to use even less glue for the impregnation Papers with casein solution to use protective colloids to prevent the glue from precipitating to prevent acids added by the solution water. Here it is, yourself but not about the production of coated papers, especially chromo papers Coating layer contains fillers. But above all, this known method is used the sizing agent is not neutralized, but only with excess precipitants offset in order to: reliably bring about a later precipitation of the glue. According to the invention casein glue used. provides particularly valuable prank, in particular Chromopaper, which due to its completely neutral spread, the colloidal swelling layer not attack the zinc carbinates in the slightest. As you know, the printing plate takes at the attacked areas color, even if this is in the affected areas is not provided for in the drawing, and accordingly gives it to others Printing is also used, a process known in printing technology as toning the paper will.

The method of the invention is explained in more detail below using an example: An alkaline casein glue, consisting of 50% casein, 5% sodium hydroxide solution, 5% ammonia and qo% water is neutralized by an acidified protective colloid, consisting of 2 kg gelatin, [1] Hydrochloric acid (20 ° B6) and 301 water, and; after mixing with fillers, brushed onto the paper. As mentioned, such a coating does not attack the printing plates and avoids the risk of scumming of the printing plates, which hitherto has been caused by chromo papers and which has so far often given rise to difficulties, particularly in offset and stone printing processes.

The. Piers produced according to the invention also have the advantage On that. particularly durable and even without a TO ", * @ special protective means, such as Benzoenatri resistant to the influence of. Bacteria are.
