Description
Electrical switchboard made of insulating molding compound The well-known and often Cold molding compounds used for the manufacture of switchboards and others Insulating parts for which creepage safety is important, extensive use found. It had turned out to be necessary, yet. greater arc resistance bring about than the previously known Kaltpreßteile have, and thereby the Prevent the formation of creepage distances with even greater certainty. aside from that the known pressed parts have the disadvantage that they throw themselves and excessively shrink, especially if the pressed pieces have irregularly shaped surfaces and have a particularly large shape.
The invention relates to electrical switchboards made of an insulating molding compound, consisting of a condensation product of polyhydric alcohols and polybasic Acids, an oil-resin mixture, asphalt and a filler, especially asbestos, is added to the cement with the amount of water necessary to harden it. The new molding compound has higher arc resistance and shows the phenomenon of shrinkage only to a very small extent. It is therefore particularly suitable for the production of Control panels that reproduce the shape particularly sharply and do not throw themselves, too if they are particularly large. The production of the insulating molding compound is described below explained.
The insulating compound used to manufacture switchboards is retained advantageously by adding 3o parts by weight to 8o parts by weight of asbestos Portland cement and the minimum amount of water sufficient to set the cement, in the present case 3, 81, admits. This mixture is 19 parts by weight of the obtained in the following manner, known binder added and the Molding compound according to the known cold pressing methods, for. B. using pressure processed from about 15o Ab to 600 kg / sqcm. The subsequent baking of the material grayer at temperatures between 65 to II5 °, with gradually increased thereafter Temperatures between 115 to 120 ', for example. The purpose of hardening is that Production of an evenly baked piece.
The binder known per se consists of a condensation product from polyhydric alcohols and polybasic acids, an oil-resin mixture, asphalt and a filler, especially asbestos. Appropriately, 5oo Parts by weight of a drying oil, for example linseed oil, wood oil and the like, and an oil-resin mixture consisting of a natural resin such as copal resin or the like 500 parts of asphalt mixed. The oil-resin mixture can be 10 parts by weight Linseed oil and part I contain copal waste and were mixed together until the Engler viscometer at 43 'gives a measurement time of 8 minutes. It is advisable also an addition of drying agents, e.g. B. 4 parts manganese linoleate, and a treatment this mixture at 230 ° in a container for a period of 12 hours, the following Sessing the temperature from 145 to 150 ° and adding 9 parts by weight of fatty acid, z. B. linseed oil fatty acid, gives the product, which at a temperature of about I 15 ° with an equal amount by weight of polyvalent condensation products Alcohols and polybasic acids are intimately mixed. 19 parts by weight of this As mentioned above, binders are made with 8o parts by weight of asbestos and 3o parts by weight Portland cement mixed and pressed.
Draw the electrical panels obtained in this way by a particularly high arc resistance as well as by the absence from creepage and charring. Although it is known to. Charring in insulating bodies to avoid using a shellac cover or a protective layer, but because of the brittleness of this material and the high cost it is his Re-appropriate use for control panels. The use of condensation products from polyhydric alcohols and polybasic acids as electrical insulating material great arc resistance and as a binder for fillers for manufacturing purposes of pressed bodies has already become known. The manufacture of electrical Control panels of all sizes that have great arc resistance and little shrinkage should show without warping and throwing occurs, but is only through allows the above-mentioned components to work together.
