Sprinkler with baffle arrangement The invention relates to wide-beam sprinklers,
their baffle arrangement - according to patent 561671, encircling the exiting jet,
are arranged on a circulating body surrounding the latter. Through the invention
the work of the sprinkler and the water distribution over the area to be irrigated
more even; at the same time the area of application of the sprinkler increases.
These advantages are achieved primarily through a special one
Design of the baffle arrangement (the baffle plate), which has a uniform
Acting on the effective reaction surfaces on the baffle arrangement and at the same time
a complete ejection of the water combined with an even
Sprinkling of the entire watered area from the position of the sprinkler to the outer edge
backs up. An equally perfect irrigation of full circular areas is according to
Invention achieved without reversing movement in the rotation of the overall sprinkler,
that the axis of revolution of the baffle arrangement from the axis of the exiting jet
deviates. It has been found that deviations of a small order of magnitude already exist
cause a simultaneous continuous rotation of the overall sprinkler and the circulating body.
In the drawings, an embodiment of the invention is shown.
Fig. I shows a reversible sprinkler according to the main patent with a

Z is a section along line A-B of Fig. I; however, gives way

Figure 3 is a diagram of the baffle assembly of the invention.
Führungsfläche a.
an.
DieserWasserfächer ergänzt in jedem Augenblick
The Urristeuer sprinkler according to Fig. I consists of the one on the sprinkler frame
rotatable elbow with nozzle placed on top and the recirculating body left on the nozzle mouth.
The circulating body.h carries the baffle plate P. The baffle plate has a pure reaction part
i and according to the invention a propeller surface 3 and opposite this a cylindrical one
Guide surface a. In the example shown, the propeller surface closes at the front
and the cylindrical guide surface laterally on the pure reaction part of the baffle plate
at. The special representation of the baffle in Fig. 3 shows clearly
the position of the three surfaces to one another. Their cooperative is as follows: The
cylindrical
Guide surface 2 forces the jet against the pure
Reaction surface and ensures a constant effective exposure of the latter.
At the same time, the guide surface 2 develops an injector-like suction effect and prevents it
the dripping of water at the sprinkler mouth, so that * all water is completely
Distribution effect of the baffle is subject. That of the surface: 2 approximately opposite
Propeller surface r strengthens the reaction: effect and at the same time creates a special one
Water fan next to the jet. This water fan complements every moment
the just sprinkled ground plan to the rectangle and causes the rotating sprinkler,
that the inner parts of the surface close to the sprinkler frame are just as strong
are irrigated like the circular ring further out; while at the same time a
Irregular overwatering of the inner circle parts by dripping water through the injector effect
the cylindrical beam guiding surface 2 is excluded: Fig. 2 shows an example of
a sprinkler in which the axis of revolution of the baffle arrangement is different from the axis
of the exiting jet deviates. In the example shown, the nozzle mouth has
obtained approximately the shape of an ellipse, one of which has a focal point in the beam axis
and the other lies in the axis of rotation of the baffle arrangement. That achieved
simultaneous circulation of. Complete sprinkler and baffle plate occurs. depending on the gate
Shape of the nozzle orifice and its position to the axis of rotation of the circulating body, if
the two axes are slightly inclined to each other; then lies the orbit of the
Recirculating body no longer in the tangential plane to the rotating circle of the sprinkler. The 'centrifugal forces
then act on the circulating body with a different lever arm on the axis of rotation of the
Overall sprinkler, so that they no longer fully compensate each other in their effect
and a torque remains effective which rotates the sprinkler. It is recommended in
every fall; the deviations of the two axes from each other within such moderate limits
to keep dead deaths excluded.
