Abstract
Description
The The invention relates in particular to the field of electrical Power supply to a majority of users who use the Area are distributed; but it can also apply more generally to other services such as the distribution of water and gas, or for district heating.
This Requirement has occurred and has not progressed only for economic reasons, but also because of the need for further transparency and efficiency in contractual relationships with customers in a market which is progressively liberalized more and more.
In front this background are supported by technological development in the field of component technology, a certain number of technical solutions, systems or procedures which are intended to be the ones associated with this situation To solve problems.
The Approach that belongs to these different studies can be summed up in a network, that of diverse forms of communication Makes use of the peripheral points of the system with a monitoring unit in Set up (electrical meters at the user), designed are to carry out the operations which are helpful in order to progressively achieve the intended goals.
Nonetheless are the largest majority of these Projects very often in the state of only unrealistic attempts or laboratory results remained, while the few proposals that are designed to reach the level of results of industrial type have no worthy value results in terms of distribution and use. The reasons why such suggestions not been found to be widely used in the fact that the obtained industrial products are not suitable to guarantee the required services, if they are be applied to situations where a very high number of user goals, as is generally the case electrical energy consumption happens.
The The main object of the present invention is therefore to propose a system on the one hand the remote acquisition of data from user targets, and on the other hand, the remote control of such targets so as to be able to meet the present requirements to meet all the companies the - how the companies, the electrical energy, water, gas and the like to distribute - , in the presence of a large Number of user goals working over a large area are distributed. To convey an impression of what is meant with a huge Number of user goals " in memory be called that the company ENEL (National Association of Electrical Energy) currently over Handle 30 million user goals.
These Task is solved according to the present Invention as characterized by claim 1. Advantageous embodiments The present invention is set forth in the dependent claims.
According to the present Invention, the objects are solved with a system that - in one familiar way - use makes of individual operating units with the user goals over one Plurality of intermediate stations are connected, the system Having characteristics in the characterizing part of claim 1 are exposed.
Further characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, given by way of non-limiting example only, and in part illustrated in the accompanying drawings the only figure shows a diagram of the structure of the system according to the invention. The diagram essentially represents the attitude of the Italian territory to the filing date of the present patent application: it is intended to monitor and control over 27 million electricity meters distributed throughout the territory. It will be understood, by any means, that this diagram is only an example, and that it should not be construed as limiting the present invention in any way.
- – einerseits durch Verteilen der Elektrizitätsmessgeräte CE gemäß Bereichseinheiten A1 ... An und Verbinden der Messgeräte von jeder Einheit mit einem entsprechenden gemeinsamen Konzentrator C-BT1 ... C-BTn. Jeder der Einheiten A1 ... An umfasst eine begrenzte Anzahl von Elektrizitätsmessgeräten CE; durch den Begriff „begrenzt" ist eine relativ kleine Anzahl von Messgeräten CE gemeint, vorzugsweise zwischen 50 und 300, bestimmt durch die Größe des dadurch bedienten Bereiches oder Gebietes, oder durch andere Faktoren, ebenfalls kommerziell, die mit dem in Betracht gezogenem Gebiet verbunden sind;
- - On the one hand by distributing the electricity meters CE according to area units A1 ... An and connecting the meters of each unit with a corresponding common concentrator C-BT1 ... C-BTn. Each of the units A1 ... An includes a limited number of electricity meters CE; By the term "limited" is meant a relatively small number of meters CE, preferably between 50 and 300, determined by the size of the area or area served thereby, or by other factors, also commercial, associated with the area considered ;
- On the other hand, by distributing a plurality of the concentrators C-BT1 ... C-BTn over the entire served area, and then connecting such concentrators to a single central server AMM. By the term "plurality" is meant here a number of more - by at least one, but also by two orders of magnitude - greater than the number of electricity meters CE of a unit, for example a number greater than 100,000 concentrators, in the illustrated case 330,000 Concentrators are shown.
According to one basic characteristic of the present invention is when Once a network of this type has been created, it does not work Concentrating the processing capacity provided, namely the System intelligence, only in the central server AMM - as in essentially performed in the prior art - but for distribution between the three aforementioned Namely components the central server AMM, the concentrators C-BT1 ... C-BTn, and the electricity meters CE. The for this Distribution adapted principle is what allows the way for the communication lines to find at that no longer a considerable one transmitted data to be processed but only the diminished amount of data that already exists has been at least partially processed.
- – eine Vereinfachung der für den zentralen Server erforderlichen Verarbeitungen;
- – eine verminderte Kommunikationslast;
- – die Verfügbarkeit von beträchtlichen Umfängen von einem nützlichen Band für den Zweck zum Unterstützen jeder schließlich zusätzlichen Dienste;
- - as far as is reasonable from an economic point of view - as far as possible on the peripheral units CE and on the concentrators C-BT1 ... C-BTn, to such an extent as to make such unit as autonomous as possible (even in Acting stand-alone in conditions of interruption of communication lines or giving up some of the functional services, if necessary.) By acting in this way, it has been achieved to burden the communication systems as little as possible by actually transmitting only the "processed data", instead of the entire elementary amount of data, and thereby obtain some important results such as:
- A simplification of the processing required for the central server;
- A reduced communication load;
- The availability of considerable volumes of useful tape for the purpose of supporting each and every one of the additional services;
The Principle that has led to the achievement of the present invention, can find its origin in the fact that an electricity meter CE within the concentrator C-BT virtual (but not completely accurate) is shown. Virtually it is as if an "alias" of the electricity meter exists in the concentrator, that is continuously through the concentrator to a predetermined Way is updated by withdrawing data from the actual Electricity meter (like data, which are processed autonomously or follow controls that receive were). This imaging electricity meter is at actual Conditions constant on the concentrator for the transactions and the Exchange of data, or to receive controls and / or Programs for the Server available.
These Setting also allows both the single meter CE and the range units A1 ... An, formed by the individual concentrators C-BT and by the electricity meters CE by controlled area unit in "stand-allone" condition to use; thus without the supervision the server in real time, but for example by a periodic Reading the data from the concentrator by means of a portable terminal.
- Means for transforming the measured values into measurement data intended for processing,
- At least a first processor for processing the measured data,
- At least a first data memory and a first program memory, and
- First means for bidirectional transmission in the direction of the associated concentrator,
- - Wherein the output of the first processor is connected to the first data memory and / or the first bidirectional transmission means for at least temporarily storing and / or correspondingly transmitting the data which has already undergone a first processing.
- At least a second program memory,
- At least one second microprocessor for further processing of the data processed by the measuring devices,
- At least one second data memory for storing the data output by the measuring devices and / or by the second microprocessor,
- And second means for bidirectional transmission towards the central server,
The Connection for the transmission of data between the measuring devices CE and the concentrators C-BT is preferably by wave transmission systems obtained using the same power supply lines the the measuring devices CE with the low voltage power distribution subdistributions connect, e.g. the secondary ones Subdistribution, in which the concentrators C-BT are arranged. Whereas the connection between the concentrators C-BT1 ... C-BTn and the central server AMM preferably through a telephone network whether it is a specific or a network for general Purposes is. A very suitable telephone network for this purpose would be one GSM or any public mediated mobile telephone network or any other existing wireless public Telephone network, e.g. a satellite-based wireless telephone network. If Such a network is used, it is advantageous Aufwählverbindungen between the concentrator C-BT and the central server AMM on request or according to one Schedule that can be predefined or dependent on Operating conditions of the concentrator C-BT or the central server AMM can be.
If a predefined schedule is adjusted, the AMM or the C-BT try to connect between the AMM and the C-BT too during predetermined times one day, one week or one month, with too These times it is assumed that a certain amount of data or Commands that are required to submit them to the concentrator and / or in which AMM has been appropriately collected and buffered. If the schedule depends is from an operating condition of the AMM and / or the C-BT, becomes a Dial-up connection set up as soon as a certain amount of data and / or commands that require a submission have been collected, or if certain alarm conditions which require to be reported without delay. In this case, the connection is terminated after the data and / or Commands have been transmitted are.
With A structure of a system thus achieved ends the corresponding one Measurements - that too constitute an important characteristic of the present invention to be strictly related to the functions that each of the three components of the system should.
Especially is every meter of electricity System according to the invention dimensioned such that the first processor included therein is adapted for performing at least the functions for: (1) acquisition of electrical energy consumption, (5) Distribution of energy consumption into different accounting scales, (12) estimating the Attempted intervention and control of an impermissible intervention device, (25) Transfer and maintaining the stored data during at least the voltage drop.
Likewise, each concentrator of the system according to the invention is dimensioned such that the second processor included therein is capable of performing, as well as the dual function of master of the PLC (power line) network, which limits the communications on the power supply line between the actual concentrator and the master Concerning electricity meters, and corresponding to nodes of the TLC network, as regards the communications on the telephone line between the concentrator and the central server, at least the following additional functions: (11) carrying out an energy audit, which is the single booth of an electrical power supply in which the concentrator is positioned, (14) constant over to monitor the working conditions of each associated electricity meter and to issue an alarm signal in case of self-diagnostics in case the meter should indicate a malfunction.
Finally is the server or the central unit of the system according to the invention dimensioned so that its processor is adapted to ensure at least the following functions: (8) automatic control the operations of a disconnection, a reconnection, a Support, delayed Payments and contract deviations, (10) selected shutdown of the power supply due to requirements of the electricity system, and (26) downloading the operating programs.
- 1. Measurement and acquisition of electrical energy consumption. The known type of electromechanical electricity meters adapted in the present energy consumption system are arranged to measure only one type of electrical energy consumption, active or reactive; if both measurements are required, it is therefore necessary to install two separate electricity meters. The electronic electricity meters according to the present invention are instead adapted to simultaneously measure both the active energy consumption and the reactive energy consumption.
- 2. Accuracy assessment. According to standards, the electricity meters in class 1 measure the active energy and in class 2 the reactive energy.
- 3. Acquisition and registration of consumption profiles. For each user, it is possible to detect the load curve with a programmable integration period, especially in the range of one minute to one hour. Thanks to the processing capacity of the electricity meters, it is possible to calculate the sequence of successive time intervals and to store for each of them the energy consumption within the same.
- 4. Measurement and recording of the mean and peak power. The electromechanical electricity meters normally used in the energy consumption system are arranged to measure only one type of power, active or reactive; if both measurements are required, it is therefore necessary to install two electricity meters, as already mentioned for the electrical energy consumption. The electronic electricity meters according to the present invention are instead arranged to simultaneously measure both the active power and the reactive power.
- 5. Distribution of electrical energy consumption in different load scales. Thanks to its processing capacity, the electricity meter is set up to set up a panel of various time scales in the room one day, thereby making it possible for each of them to highlight a corresponding cost value for the electrical energy consumed. The electricity meter is thus arranged to integrate the consumptions with respect to the cost plate and to store the total consumption of each time scale in the accounting period. In addition, the cost table may be programmed based not only on time profiles but on performance thresholds.
- 6. Control of different billing periods. It is possible to control at least two billing periods (current and previous) even at variable intervals.
- 7. Control of two electrical energy supply contracts. In the power range up to 35 kW, it is possible to control two electric energy supply contracts, namely an existing contract and a contract to be applied in the future. The electricity meters may be programmed to automatically switch between the contract - from present to future - upon reaching a given date.
- 8. Control the operation of a disconnect and reconnect. These modes of operation may be automatically performed in relation to situations of discontinuities, deferred payment substitutions, contract changes. Thanks to its processing capacity, the meter carries out these operations on the basis of remote controls through the PLC network (from the central server or from the corresponding concentrator). It is thus not necessary for an operator to be physically present when the electricity meter is installed.
- 9. Possibilities to operate in conditions of advance payment. The electricity meter may be programmed to compare the amount of consumed electrical energy with a present limit (actually arranged to be modified by an external controller) associated with a payment made in advance; once the limit has been exceeded, the electrical En Extra delivery automatically separated and canceled.
- 10. Selected shutdowns for electrical system requirements. The shutdown or suspension of energy delivery may be necessary in the event of blackout risks or temporary overloads, generally at a local level. This feature is not implemented in a wide-spread mode, but instead focuses on each individual electricity meter. From the center (central server or concentrator) it is possible to modify the electricity meters via PLC to modify a control, for example, of the highest available power in the present meter, with a temporary effect being that there is no need for the power delivery contract change; this allows a relief of the total required power from the cabin.
- 11. Execution of an energy balance. At the level of a single cabin, or a single concentrator, it is possible to determine the sum of the measurements for the energy consumed by the individual electricity meters, depending on the cabin. This sum, periodically compared to the value of the total retracted electrical current, or the main electrical current value, provides a useful indication for detecting any non-standard electrical power draw and therefore also any illicit fume hood.
- 12. Abuse / intervention function. At the level of each electricity meter, a device is provided for performing this specific function, which is thus arranged to eliminate the requirements for using seals and to periodically check the integrity of such seals. The power change, available by contract, does not require - as stated - to open the meter to set the meter (shunt); It has thus been possible to control the electricity meters as a sealed single block structure with all these functions of measurement, control of contracts, control of the open / close circuits of the power line. Thus, for the purposes of reviewing all possible attempts to open the sealed structure in the electricity meter, an electromechanical device has been used which generates an alarm signal on the network of the system and the alarm signal can only be removed by adjusting an operator-available procedure.
- 13. Measuring and recording quality parameters of the service. The microprocessor included in each electricity meter is arranged to verify and store interruptions of electric power supply and voltage changes (deviation of the voltage from the nominal value provided in the electric power supply contract). Based on this data, it is possible to determine the quality parameters of the service at the level of each delivery point of the electrical energy to be supplied.
- 14. Constant monitoring of working conditions. The microprocessor provided in each electricity meter is arranged to periodically verify (self-diagnose) the conditions of the various hardware components of the meter and the congruence of the data stored in the memory. In the event of any malfunctions, it is possible to signal both the same with appropriate service words (which are then read by the central system), as well as immediately start recovery procedures.
- 15. Possibilities of bidirectional transmission of information. The system according to the invention not only allows to carry out operations directly related to the delivery of the service for which the system has been provided, but also to send and receive other types of information ("information provider" service) to and from the electricity meter The electricity meter may display such information on its own visual display unit, or otherwise transmit it to other devices connected to the user's electrical line, downstream of, or from, the meter, such devices being directly interfaced via PLC connected to the electricity meter, or otherwise by a bridge device which acts as an intermediate bridge and communicates directly with the electricity meter via PLC, which provides the possibility for other items to use the system according to the invention as an ei n to use a remote control system that allows you to connect yourself to your own devices on the user side.
- 16. Management of a calendar clock. If the calculation of consumption is to be measured as a function of the load scale, the meter requires an accurate time reference (± 30 sec / month); this is achieved by means of a local electronic circuit (real-time clock), whose state can be remotely verified and synchronized (by external controls, via PLC or optical gates ZVEI), and in the case of more extensive changes, if necessary, can be corrected.
- 17. Setting displayable data. On the local display of the meter (for example, the 16 × 1 alphanumeric + character type) an entire series of data can be programmed the. The presence of electronic components allows additional functions, such as local representation of consumption and cost data, to be provided to the user, as well as generic messages or messages that provide information about the service or indicate the health status of the service team's meter (diagnostics).
- 18. Opening the power circuit. A modular element equipped with a suitable release element and adapted to be opened by remote control is integrated in the meter. A single box houses both the electronic components that are configured to perform the meter functions described so far and the electromechanical components that are configured to open / close the electrical power line. This way, the electromechanical components in addition to autonomous operation at maximum power, may also be aimed at request of the central unit or the presence of local conditions, which are detected by the electronic parts (eg when the contract expires).
- 19. Quick installation of the meter. When a large number of devices at user locations need to be replaced in a short time, the invention provides a meter set in two parts, namely a part as a base and a control and management body, the two parts being connectable by connecting pins and a bayonet connection ,
- 20. Local connectivity to external devices. The PLC communication system requires the availability of complex hardware and software. In order to ensure both the accessibility of the data and meters contained in the concentrators, even with simple devices (eg portable PCs) available to one user, as well as the availability of a second communication line replacing the network in case the latter is interrupted becomes; An optical ZVEI gate also belongs to the meter. The gate only requires an external device to have a simple RS-232 serial gate (available in almost every PC).
- 21. Safety / Protection of the PLC communication. The data transmitted from the concentrator to the gauges or from the latter to the central server has different degrees of confidentiality. For those who are considered to be not highly reserved, the protections implemented by the PLC's communication protocol managing functions are sufficient to ensure the delivery of the message. For critical data, an additional mechanism has been added - eg on the basis of an authentication key - at the level of message interpretation and management procedure established to ensure non-modifiability and / or readability of the message by third parties outside the service.
- 22. Automatic detection of the installation of the meter. There are two reasons for this feature: one related to the PLC communication mechanism, the other being fiscal to detect potential consumer abuse.
- 23. Remote meter availability. The PLC communication method uses physical support (electrical line) that does not ensure homogeneous conduction of the signal in each point of the network, for which reason meters can not be reachable by the concentrator. Therefore, the concentrator may require one or more gauges (which are able to "see" the unreachable gauges) to act as bridges, passing the message to the unreachable gauges. which allows to solve the problem of accessibility via a network.
- 24. Automatic recognition of the repeat path. The concentrator, when informed of the presence of a new meter, checks its reachability. If it is unavailable, it attempts to detect one or more different gauges that can "see" the instrument that is not directly accessible, these gauges are captured, the acquisition parameters stored, and then used as jumpers.
- 25. Data retention under voltage drop conditions. The replacement of the mechanical devices that record the consumption (numbered button) with electronic components (volatile memory) would imply the loss of the consumption data if the power were interrupted by the providing company. To avoid this, non-volatile memories, preferably a ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) have been used in the system, which are arranged to ensure the maintenance of the data over the useful life of the electricity meters (15 years).
- 26. Download the administration programs. In order to ensure the development and / or corrective maintenance of the functions performed by the programs installed in the system devices, it is possible to modify the programs without interrupting the basic activities of the devices and without the need for direct accessibility; the activity is performed using the PLC communication mechanisms provided by the control center is used to manage the devices.
- 27. Detection of the line switch opening. If one of the output leads from the power delivery booth - in which the concentrator is - is out of operation due to opening of the circuit breaker, the concentrator will display a lead out alarm condition to the central server based on the error to communicate with all of the meters provided by that lead.
