Description

  • Enthaarungsmittel Die als Enthaarungsmittel gebräuchlichen Sulfide der fixen Alkalien haben den Nachteil der leichten Zersetzbarkeit. Bei nicht sehr sorgfältiger Aufbewahrung pflegen sie Sauerstoff aus der Luft aufzunehmen und sich zu oxydieren, wobei sie ihre haarentfernende Wirkung einbüßen.
  • Gemäß vorliegender Erfindung wird diesem Übelstande dadurch abgeholfen, daß man den Enthaarungsmischungen einen stark reduzierend wirkenden Stoff beigibt, der seinerseits allen erreichbaren Sauerstoff an sich reißt und so die Sulfide vor Oxydation bewahrt. Als derartige reduzierende Körper seien hier genannt das Resorcin, das Brenzcatechin, Paraamidophenol, Pyrogallol, Hydrochinon usw.
  • Je nach der Natur der genannten Körper genügt ein 5- bis 2oprozentiger Zusatz derselben, um die ins Auge gefaßte konservierende Wirkung auf das Sulfid auszuüben. Wie Versuche gezeigt haben, halten sieh die derart hergestellten Enthaarungsmischungen selbst in feuchtem Zustande viele Monate hindurch unverändert wirksam.
