Motor drive with friction gear reduction The invention relates to a
Motor drive with friction gear reduction. There are already drive devices of this
Kind became known for vehicles in which the countershaft in the vertical direction
to the driving shaft and is arranged to be pivotable. By the swivel movement
the countershaft is placed in contact with a friction disc
the counter disc or a brake pad sitting on the driving shaft
and so either set in motion or slowed down.
der Feder. Die Schnurscheibe zum Antrieb der Nähmaschine ist auf der Vorgelegewelle9so'angeordnet;
The invention makes it its task to provide a drive of this type
to create, which is characterized by a particularly compact design and preferably
can be used for the electric drive of sewing machines. Are according to the invention
the countershaft and the motor are arranged on a common base plate in such a way that
that their axes are parallel or almost parallel. Pivoting the countershaft
is carried out automatically in one sense or another by a spring, and
although the return movement of the shaft, in which the braking is brought about, is expedient.
The pivoting for coupling with the motor is done by a lever against the action
the feather. The cord pulley for driving the sewing machine is arranged on the countershaft 9so ';
: that the center of the string groove corresponds to that of the counter pivot movement
Pivot point coincides so that the center-to-center distance between the driving and
the driven 'pulley of the sewing machine remains unchanged. The pulley
the countershaft is cantilevered in a known manner, so that it is easy
can be exchanged and therefore the attachment of a stepped washer that
the masses to be moved and braked are undesirably enlarged and are unnecessary.
The drive motor is attached to a mounting surface provided for this purpose. so
that normal in-line motors can be used. The rotary motion
is transmitted from the motor shaft to the countershaft through friction wheels, one of which
one is made of metal, the other is coated with different layers
have large coefficients of friction, namely the friction linings are so distributed or
dimensioned that at the beginning of the clutch, the metal friction wheel initially
comes into contact with the friction lining with the lower coefficient of friction. By the better ones
Sliding conditions, a smoother clutch is brought about here, a better control
the speed of rotation of the countershaft as well as intermittent entrainment
the countershaft avoided. Only when? The friction wheels are almost completely in mesh
stand,
the friction wheel comes into engagement with the friction lining with a higher coefficient of friction, whereupon
significant sliding between the friction wheels can no longer take place. as
Coverings are, for example, leather and rubber well suited.
The drawing shows, for example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention
illustrated. Fig. I shows a longitudinal section through the device in the
Level of the countershaft and Fig. 2 a view from above without the engine and
the brake.
so
In diesem Falle
a angebrachten Bremsklotz o gedrückt wird.
The countershaft b is supported in two self-aligning bearings c and d on a base plate a. The self-aligning bearing d is supported by a bearing block e rigidly connected to the base plate a, while the self-aligning bearing c is arranged in a rocker arm f which is fastened on the control shaft g. This is rotatably mounted in two eyes h and l and with a part k bent at right angles. provided, at the free end of which the chain or rod of the sewing machine foot lever is attached. If the lever k of the control shaft g in Fig. Z is moved forward, the rocker f and the self-aligning bearing c perform a downward movement. The countershaft b is pivoted about the self-aligning bearing d in such a way that the countershaft gear i comes into engagement with the motor friction gear m. The friction wheel in consists of layered friction discs x made of leather and y made of rubber, which alternate in the order. The discs x made of leather have a larger diameter and initially come into contact with the friction wheel i. The countershaft b is carried along by the friction wheels in, i , while its speed or the number of stitches in the unit of time can be regulated by pulling the lever k more or less. When the lever k is fully tightened, the friction disk i is pressed against the friction wheel m in such a way that the soft leather disks x are flattened and the friction disk i comes into engagement with the rubber disks y. In this case, almost the entire torque of the motor is transferred to the countershaft so that it rotates at full speed. If the lever k is released, the previously tensioned torsion spring n causes the shaft g to rotate back, so that the countershaft b swivels in the opposite direction about the self-aligning bearing d, the friction wheel i is disengaged from the motor drive pulley m and fixed against the base plate a attached brake pad o is pressed. When the sewing machine foot lever or some other operating member is released, the countershaft is therefore automatically decoupled from the motor y and quickly brought to a standstill by braking.
The pulley P used to drive the sewing machine is floating
attached to the end of the countershaft b and can after loosening the fastening screw
t can easily be exchanged for a different line disc. This pulley
P is also arranged on the shaft b so that the groove center with the center of the
Self-aligning bearing d collapses. As a result, the drive belt experiences only one
low and therefore harmless entanglement, the center-to-center distance of the pulley
q of the sewing machine pulley, which is not shown, remains
at least unchanged.
The self-aligning ball bearings shown in the drawing can of course
be replaced by appropriately designed plain bearings with a spherical seat. Even
the basic idea of the invention is not abandoned if instead of the friction wheels
a different kind of device for transmitting the rotary motion, e.g. B. a belt drive,
is provided, in which then the countershaft for coupling or uncoupling and
Braking must be moved in the opposite direction. Instead of the one described
Brake then also a shoe or band brake can be used.
