Description
Abplatzen.Process for the production of a metal against corrosion It is known that solutions of cellulose esters, e.g. B. nitrocellulose with or without added pigment, achieve metal protective coatings. The relatively rapid evaporation of organic solvents causes some Advantages such as time savings, however, also result from the rapid evaporation insofar as certain inconveniences, as that, possibly on the surface to be painted already existing or .by evaporation of the low-boiling solvents Moisture precipitated on or in the line no longer affects the membrane can penetrate, i.e. remains on the metal surface or in the film. In particular are the low molecular weight alkyl esters, which are used extensively as solvents to be extremely hygroscopic and multiply. already saponified by water, so that they give rise to free acid in the drying coating. The usual Consequences of all these processes are cloudiness, corrosion and the well-known Peeling or chipping.
These disadvantages are eliminated according to the invention in that the Solution of the cellulose ester in the organic, relatively rapidly evaporating Solvents with the addition of dehydrating agents after, your order of the coating agent present or deposited under or in the film being formed Bind moisture chemically or physically.
Execution example of a solution of To kg of nitrocellulose in 70 kg Acetate and 15 kg of butyl alcohol or amyl acetate are used in addition to 7 kg of aluminum bronze about 2 kg: plaster of paris or cement, more depending on the degree of moisture or less, added.
