Description

Method for producing building blocks It has been tried many times porous building blocks by shaping and baking mixtures of clay and burn-out materials produce which have good insulation against heat and sound and are easily editable, in the z. B. hammered nails relatively easily and screws can be pulled in. Here the burnout materials are already there in considerable quantities., e.g. B. up to 5o weight percent of the total mass, with clay been mixed up. It has also been suggested that pine bark be used as a burnout material to use. The previous attempts with coke breeze, wood flour, peat and the like as burnout materials bring certain difficulties insofar as the relative large, calorific value of these substances, a sintering of the clay and a deformation the moldings can occur.

In contrast, the invention relates to the exclusive use of pine bark as a burnout material because it is extremely porous, has a relatively low calorific value, does not accept water and when burning easily disintegrates. A scientific explanation of the behavior of pine bark is not yet available, but the following explanations should serve as an explanation the properties of the pine bark are sufficient.

In the various bark masses there are larger amounts of components, which, like the sponge, easily absorb water with their porous parts; totally different the pine bark, which is only found in thirty to forty-year-olds, is different from the bark Pine trees. The pine bark, like other bark, contains weathered wood components and plenty of resin next to it. Only after decades does it form under the influence the oxygen in the air, which may also contain very small amounts of nitric acid contains, completely to the bark. The woody components oxidize under the influence the air and the embedded resin are transformed under the same influences waxy bodies around which the entry of water into the small cavities the bark prevent. As mentioned, the bark has only a low calorific value and in the firing process in a mixture with clay only causes the formation of extremely small, numerous and discontinuous cavities and gives you a mixture of clay and bark produced stone, which is burned in direct fire, a great lightness.

One advantage of the method according to the invention is the possibility of to use any clay for the production of porous building materials, as a premature one Sintering of the masses mixed with pine bark is not to be feared because the Pine bark contains only small amounts of gasifiable components, is the result from closed cavities in clay masses mixed with pine bark and secured this ensures that the stones have good insulation properties against heat and sound. The stones produced according to the invention can by mechanical processing, z. B. by sawing or hewing, are further processed.
