Vorliegende Neuerung hat zum Gegenstande die Anordnung der beiden Selbstschlufsventile in den oberen, entsprechend ausgebohrten Enden zweier im oberen und unteren Stutzen des Wasserstandszeigers gelagerten Schrauben- . spindeln mit steiler Steigung. Vermöge dieser Anordnung der Ventile werden andere ■ Abschlufsorgane zwischen Glas und Kessel überflüssig, woraus einfachere Handhabung und leichteres Gewicht des Apparates resultirt.The subject of the present innovation is the arrangement of the two self-closing valves in the upper, appropriately drilled ends of two in the upper and lower nozzle of the water level pointer mounted screw. spindles with a steep incline. Die Bewegungsfreiheit der Ventile ν νx ist dadurch begrenzt, dafs quer zur Längsachse der betreffenden Ausbohrungen Stifte t eingesetzt sind, welche sich gegen Ansätze des Ventilschaftes legen, wenn die Schraubenspindeln herausgeschraubt werden. Für den Handgriff/? kommen drei Lagen in Betracht. In der Stellung ι schliefst Ventil ν beim Bruch des Glases selbstthätig ab. Durch Umlegen des Handgriffes in die Stellung 2 wird ein Abschlufs bei normalem Betrieb erzielt, während in Stellung 3 das Glas mit Dampf durchgeblasen werden kann. In gleicher Weise wird das untere Ventil gehandhabt. Mittelst Drehung der Handgriffe um i8o° nehmen die Ventile die gekennzeichneten Lagen der Reihe nach, ein. Nach stattgehabtem Druckausgleich in Stellung 1 fallen die Ventile vermöge ihrer eigenen Schwere in die ursprüngliche Lage zurück. Um dem Dampfe bezw.
