Ausführungsbeispiele i. Gebleichtes, mercerisiertes
Process for changing the coloring properties of plants
Fibrous materials It has been found that the process described in main patent 555,372
to change the dyeing properties of vegetable fibers also, in one
changed execution leads to the goal. Lets following your home patent procedure
the halogen compounds of phosphorus in the presence of alcoholic alkalis
act. It has now been shown that the alkali treatment precedes or follows
can be carried out separately from the treatment with phosphorus halides, which
the latter take place in the presence or absence of alcoholic alkalis
can. Here, between the individual treatments with water or indifferent
Washed solvents and optionally dried. Leave artificial silk
with the exception of cellulose acetate silk, in the same way as vegetable fibers
treat according to this procedure. Embodiments i. Bleached, mercerized
Cotton yarn is alkalized with i2 percent alcoholic caustic soda, the lye
then spun off and the material hung in a bath containing 8 cc of phosphorus oxychloride
in 1 1 toluene._ After 1/2 hour the yarn is removed, thoroughly until
Disappearance of the acidic reaction rinsed and dried, with the last
Volatilize residues of the toluene.
Viscose silk yarn is made with 10% alcoholic sodium hydroxide
Treated in the cold for 1/2 hour, then washed well and dried. the
So pretreated silk is m a 2 percent solution of phosphorus oxychloride in
Benzene moved for 2 hours. Then, by spinning the yarn, the
Most of the solution is removed and then the yarn is washed and soaped.
eingetragen, welche i oio Phosphorchlorid, in Toluol gelöst, enthält.
Raw and non-mercerized cotton yarn is introduced into a solution which contains 100% phosphorus chloride dissolved in toluene. The yarn is left there for 5 hours at normal temperature with occasional changing. The goods are then thoroughly washed and, after spinning, treated in a 10 percent solution of caustic soda in technical alcohol for 1/4 hour, whereupon they are acidified, washed and dried in the usual way. The yarn prepared in this way can be used afterwards without prejudice to the effect. weave ordinary raw yarn and bleach in one piece. q .. 1 o kg of used cotton yarn is made alkaline with a 5% methyl alcohol-sodium hydroxide solution, after 1 hour treatment, freed from excess lye by squeezing off and added to a solution of 4oo 1 xylene which contains 5 kg of phosphorus chloride. After an exposure time of 30 minutes, the goods are washed well and removed in an 8 percent aqueous sodium hydroxide solution for z hours. Finally, it is acidified, washed and dried in the usual way.
