Process for the preparation of 2-alkylaniinobenzene-1-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid
The main patent provides a process for the preparation of 2-methylaminobenzenecarboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid
protected, which consists in the fact that 2-chlorobenzenecarboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid,
with or without the addition of catalysts, with methylamine to temperatures above 100 °
heated. The compound obtained is a valuable intermediate for manufacture
of dyes and pharmaceutical products.
erwähnte 2- Chlorbenzol- i - carbonsäure- 4 - sulfons'äure mit anderen Alkylaminen
als Methylamin, wie z. B. Äthyl-, Butyl-, Isobutylamin u. dgl., auf höhere Temperatur
erhitzt.
- i - carbonsäure-4-sulfonsäuren.
schlechte Ausbeuten. Beispiel i Die neutrale Natriumsalzlösung von 5o Gewichtsteilen
ab.
It has now been found that one can also use it for the purposes mentioned
excellent products obtained by the fact that in the main patent
mentioned 2-chlorobenzene-i-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid with other alkylamines
as methylamine, such as. B. ethyl, butyl, isobutylamine and the like., To a higher temperature
heated. This leads to α-alkylaminobenzene which could not be produced industrially up to now
- i - carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acids. The well-known effect of ethyl iodide on the
Disilver salt of 2-aminobenzenecarboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid, whereby the α-ethylaminobenzene-i-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid
is not technically feasible; it is far too expensive and delivers
poor yields. Example i The neutral sodium salt solution of 50 parts by weight
2-chlorobenzene-i-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid in 100 parts by weight of water is mixed with
45 parts by weight 100% n-butylamine in a closed vessel at 120 ° for 12 hours
heated. To work up, make alkaline with sodium hydroxide solution and boil until none
More n-butylamine escapes. Then it is evaporated until crystallization and separated
the 2-n-butylaminobenzenecarboxylic acid 4-sulfonic acid obtained as the acidic sodium salt
away. The yield is almost theoretical. The sodium salt forms colorless, in
Easily soluble crystals in water. Example e If, as in example i, the
neutral solution of 5o parts by weight of 2-chlorobenzenecarboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid with
22 parts by weight of 100% ethylamine for 12 hours to 10 to 20 °, this is how it is formed
in g4iter yield the 2-ethylaminobenzene-i-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid, which after
Easily deposited as the acidic sodium salt when the excess ethylamine was driven away
can be.
The salts of 2-ethylaminobenzene-i-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid
are colorless crystals, easily soluble in water.
Beispiel 3 44o Gewichtsteile Monokaliumsalz der 2- Chlorbenzol- i - carbonsäure-4-
If, in example, the ethylamine is replaced by equivalent amounts of
n-Propylamine, isobutylamine or isoamylamine are obtained in a completely analogous manner
the corresponding salts of 2-n-propylaminobenzene, isobutylaminobenzene or isoamylaminobenzenecarboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid.
Example 3 44o parts by weight of the monopotassium salt of 2-chlorobenzene-i-carboxylic acid 4-
Sulphonic acid are dissolved in zoo parts by weight of water with .40 parts by weight of sodium hydroxide
neutralized and with 600 parts by weight of n-butylamine with the addition of 2 g of copper bronze
Boiled for 8 hours on the reflux condenser with stirring. The work-up takes place in the
usual way.
