Die gebräuchlichen Röhrentrockenapparate, wie sie z. B. in den Patentschriften No. 32220 und No. 51826 beschrieben sind, besitzen eine Füllvorrichtung, welche darin gipfelt, dafs die Stirnwand an dem Einführungsende für das Trockengut (nasse Braunkohle) glatt gedreht ist und sich nun gegen diesen Boden ein Kasten legt, der innen, voll Material gehalten wird. Durch die geneigte Lage der Rohre (Patent No. 32220) oder durch die eingesetzten Schnecken in den horizontal liegenden Rohren (Patent No. 51826) wird während des Vorbeigehens der einzelnen Rohre vor dem Kasten bezw. vor dem in diesem befindlichen Trockengut eine bestimmte Menge des letzteren je nach der Nässe und Körnung desselben aufgenommen, durch welche Umstände der Böschungswinkel bedingt ist, unter dem das Material in die Rohre fällt, und je nach Lage, und Gröfse der· Rohre und der Schnecken in diesen.The common tube dryers, as they are, for. Schliefslich sind die Verstopfungsstellen schwer zugänglich, um die regelrechte Förderung herzustellen. In dem schmiedeisernen Deckel A1 befinden sich Schlitzlöcher e zur Luftzuführung in den Apparat. Das Gehäuse A selbst ist feststehend gelagert, während der Trockenapparat rotirt, wobei dieser von dem durch die Füllvorrichtung gehenden, aufserhalb derselben gelagerten Zapfen Z getragen wird.
