Description
Metal cleaning agent It is known. when cleaning metals to add cleaning agents, which reduce the formation of dryness. As such, sawdust, paper. also introduced oil residues in general. Apart from that from the fact that these remedies often contain admixtures which have a beneficial effect can be partially nullified again, the same cannot be regulated in any way. Man therefore has z. E.g. a paste is recommended made from chlorammonium, tartaric acid, soot, salt, Oil and cement is made. These and other cleaning agents containing chlorides are harmful because at the high temperature of the melt they lead to the formation of hydrochloric acid Giving cause and this both the melting kettle and the melting material, especially if it is made of base metal, it will attack heavily.
It has now been found. that a good regeneration of the otherwise slagged lIetalls and therefore a redder metal yield is achieved when simultaneously with the .metal to be remelted is an adsorption compound of oils on strongly surface-active substances Substances is added. For example, a paste has proven to be suitable which you get when you let equal parts of cleaning oil soak up through Iiieselgur. At Instead of cleaning oil, you can also use other oils, such as fuel oil, linseed oil and the like von Iselgur also use charcoal, shell limestone and other adsorbents. The beneficial effect is that the material is initially evenly in the molten metal can spread and with the gradually occurring temperature increase the adsorptively bound organic material is released only slowly and as a result acts very intensively on the metal oxides.
