so aufgenommene Feuchtigkeit vermindert zudem die Streufähigkeit solcher Pulvergemische
oder hebt sie ganz auf und löst unter Umständen vorzeitig Reaktionen aus. die erst

kann erreicht werden, daß nicht nur das aus der Luft angezogene Wasser gebunden
wird, sondern daB auch die ätherischen öle fixiert werden. Das Terpin geht dabei
ganz oder teilweise in das beständige und trockene Terpinhydrat über. Wenn man beispielsweise
zu einem rhodansalzhaltigen Pulvergemisch, das neben ätherischen Ölen noch Säurebestandteile,
wie Weinsäure, Borsäure ü. dgl., enthält, Terpin zusetzt, verhindert man nicht nur
eine vorzeitige Entwicklung von Rhodanwasserstoffsäure, sondern erhöht auch die
Löslichkeit der Rhodansalze durch die Bindung der ätherischen Öle an das Terpin
