Description

Precipitation electrode consisting of a semiconductor for electrical Gas purifier The precipitation electrodes - for electrostatic precipitators are often made of semiconductors, z. B. wood, paper, cement, concrete, etc., made because such electrodes for some purposes have certain merits. For example, with such electrodes a Spark discharge hardly ever occurs because the current is passed through the semiconductor is very limited. You can therefore apply a relatively high voltage place such electrostatic precipitators and in this way a particularly good precipitation effect achieve. A special design of such a collecting electrode will now be described below shown; which allows a convenient suspension of the same.

According to the invention, the precipitation electrode made of a semiconductor designed in such a way that it consists of two advantageously reinforced semiconductor plates is composed, between which the Suspension devices of the electrode are attached. This creates the advantage achieves that the uniformity of the spray field between the spray and collecting electrodes is guaranteed in a perfect way. Up until now, it was mostly the carrying irons arranged on the surfaces of the collecting electrode facing the spray electrodes are. There is then the risk that a spray stream from the carrying irons will follow the spray electrodes and possibly arcing between the two Sharing take place. This disadvantage is now due to the specified form of training the collecting electrode completely eliminated. The hanger is then effectively shielded from the spray plate by the semiconductor plates. -In the Fig. x and 2 is an exemplary embodiment of a collecting electrode designed in this way Shown in front and side elevation. io and ii are two made of one semiconductor Plates connected to each other by bolts 12 and spaced at a certain distance are held from each other. On the two opposite sides of the semiconductor plates io and ii are laid iron 13 designed as guttering to reinforce the same and also fastened by the bolts 12. The distance between the two plates io and ii is chosen to be so large that those used to suspend the collecting electrode Carrying irons have space in the space and are attached to the bolts 12 there.
