Electrostatic precipitator with separate charging and precipitation zone It is
known; - in the case of electrostatic precipitators, especially those used for cleaning room air
serve, the charging and separation of the suspended particles contained in the gases
in separate stages, the charging and separation zone. For charging = -zane
In order to achieve a good charge of the dust particles, one has to do so
To keep ozone development as low as possible, the spraying electrodes are very thin
Wires with a diameter of 0.1 mm and less are the counter electrodes
the spray wires, however, as thicker, non-spraying electrodes, for example
formed plate or tubular shape. It now has this arrangement
the drawback turned out to be that between the non-spraying electrodes that
are closest to the filter housing wall, which is made of a conductive material,
and the opposite spray electrodes form a spray field in which
a not insignificantly stronger spray current than in the other spray fields flows,
because. a current transfer not only occurs in these peripheral fields from the spray electrode
the counter electrode, but also on the housing wall made of a conductive material
of the filter takes place. This can easily overload the edge fields
feeding spray electrodes and an undesirably strong ozone generation in these fields
.develop. In the following it will be shown how this bad sand can be removed
can.
According to the invention is the charging zone of such an electrostatic precipitator
designed in such a way that the part. that consists of a conductive material
Filter housing 'dex' is closest to a non-spraying electrode in which
Proximity of this electrode by an insulating layer, e.g. B. one made of porcelain, plastic
or the like. Existing plate, is shielded. This arrangement has the advantage
that from the spraying electrode only after the non-spraying one on the housing wall
arranged wire-shaped counter-electrode, but not after the adjacent one
Parts of the metallic housing wall a current transfer can take place. Through this
there will certainly be an overload of the spray electrode lying next to the housing wall
avoided and also achieved, d: ate all the spray electrodes in the charging zone
have an approximately uniform spray effect.
In Fig. I is an embodiment of one designed in such a way
Charging zone shown. 31 is the housing wall of the charging stage of a two-stage
Electrostatic precipitators. In the housing 31 are transverse to that indicated by the arrow 32
Direction of flow of the gases spray electrodes 33 and counter electrodes 34 alternately
appropriate. The metal wall of the housing 31 is now on both sides of this
Counter-electrode 34 resting against the wall with the two insulating layers 35 and 36
clothed. This creates the small-area effect of the adjacent to the wall
Counter electrode 34 safely reached and the spread of the spray field on the next
this counter-electrodes lying housing parts completely prevented.
Porzellan, Bakelit, Kunststoff o. d-1., bestehen.Instead of covering the metallic housing wall with insulating material,
the wall of the housing itself made of an insulating material, for. B. also from
Porcelain, bakelite, plastic or d-1. Exist.
ausbildet. In some cases, the arrangement can also be made so that the
Isolation plate in each case between the non-spraying, the housing wall initially lying
Electrode of the charging zone and the housing wall made of a conductive material
arranged .is. This can also prevent an undesirable
Spray field between the metallic housing wall and the spray electrode located next to it
trains.

is shown in Fig.2. 41 is the housing of the charging zone, 42 are the spray
and 43 the counter electrodes, which alternate in a transverse to the flow channel

correspondingly thick wire attached to the front edge of an insulating plate 4
