Precipitation electrode for electric gas purifiers By the patent

There are sheet metal strips that are substantially parallel to each other, with the
However, include the surface of the box electrode at an acute angle. So far have been
these sheet metal strips designed so that they had a straight longitudinal axis.
As a result, the edge facing the spray electrodes is also guided in a straight line.
The spray wires stretched parallel to the catch plate strips are now mostly in order to
not to subject them to excessive material stress due to excessive tensile stress,
attached so that they have a relatively large passage. Through this
the disadvantage arises that there is between the spray wires and the catch plate strips
occupied collecting electrode forms an uneven spray field. Hereinafter
it will now be shown how this deficiency can be eliminated.
According to the invention, the collecting electrode is designed so that
the sheet metal strips lying next to one another, which form the walls of the box electrode
form, bent according to the sag of the approximately horizontally tensioned spray wires
are. It is in this way a uniform formation of the spray field and a
good separation of suspended particles achieved. The on are advantageous here
sheet metal strips attached to both sides of the trap chamber electrode are offset from one another
arranged. It should be prevented as far as possible that cross flows
through the electrode. This means was used earlier in the case of trap electrodes
applied, in which the attached in the two opposite walls
Collection openings have also been arranged offset from one another.
In Figs. I and 2, an embodiment of the invention is in detail

a frame 7 are clamped. These spray wires 6 hang due to their own weight
down a bit. The catch plate strips 3 are now in the same way
bent downwards. so that the spray wires and edges of the catch plate strips
run parallel to each other and consequently become even between the two
